    • Booby Traps in Cinderella's Castle
    • Secret Elevator in Cinderella's Castle
    • Secret Room in Cinderella's Castle
    • Upstairs Room in the Firehouse of Main Street U.S.A.
    • Security on the rides like sensors and cameras
If you know any information on these secrets or there are more that I missed, than please post it! Thanks!

    1. Never heard, but I'm sure Disney has their ways of keeping people in places they should be and out of places that would ruin the magic.
    2. Not sure on this one either, but I do know that the cast member who gave my Keys to the Kingdom Tour said that Tinker Bell has to climb a huge staircase every night, so if there is an elevator, it isn't for the CM's benefits.
    3. Yes there is a secret room, it was used for years before the Million Dreams conversion as a storage/dressing room for the various things that went on outside Cinderella's Castle (i.e shows and such).
    4. Yes, there is a room above the firehouse. In fact, if you look in the window above the firehouse during park hours, there is a light on in the window. The room above the firehouse was supposed to be Walt's apartment, NOT the secret room in the castle, and when Walt died they went ahead and built the room into the fire house anyway. The light in the window remains on throughout park operation as a symbol of Walt greeting guests into his home.
    5. Yes, there's sensors and cameras on the rides. Haven't you ever been on a ride where they suddenly come over the speaker and tell someone to get their hands out of the water or to put their cameras away? I sure have. I've also been in the security room for Test Track, there's tons of monitors in there, its pretty neat.

A CM brought us in there with my younger brothers, who were afraid to ride the ride. They let them watch the monitors to show them what the ride was like.

I know! We were pretty impressed....the security area is to the right up the stairs as you exit the ride, you can look up at it as the ride begins and leave the loading dock.

    • Booby Traps in Cinderella's Castle: don't know, don't think so
    • Secret Elevator in Cinderella's Castle: yes only a few Disney Cast Members now of it and me the were not talking about the glass one
    • Secret Room in Cinderella's Castle: Not so secret now that they made it into a room
    • Upstairs Room in the Firehouse of Main Street U.S.A.: Disneyland yes, WDW no. in Disneyland it was made for Walt Himself to stay and watch over the park. in WDW it was never bulit inside the fire station but built in what is now the Cinderella Suit
    • Security on the rides like sensors and cameras: Yes very closed watched cameras

P.S for anyone that liked the book.(Like me) the author is making a sequal to it some time in either this year or next.

DISNEY FREAK: where does the elevator lead to?

The booby traps in Cinderella Castle: I don't think they are necessarily "booby traps" in the sense we're thinking of, I think it is more things that Disney does to shield things from us that would ruin the magic. For example, Disney actually created a specific color called "Go away green" to paint buildings and objects that they don't want to be noticeable (The garbage refinery behind Splash Mountain is painted this color....I bet you didn't even know it was there, did you?). But Disney has their ways of directing our attention to other tihngs and diverting our eyes so that we don't learn the secrets behind what we see.

I beleive the elevator leads to the now suite but it use to lead to the old room that was made for Walt but then was just left there. It's located inside the castle, the part you can walk through, it looks like the rest of the wall, like a painting. It's meant to be hidden.

and no changing is in the castle. all the changing is done in the utiladors (spelled wrong) as well as everything else that is done at WDW.

Thanks, I have to try and look for this elevator now!

A CM told me on the Keys to the Kingdom Tour that the no-longer "secret" room had been used for storage and quick-changes during shows that took place in front of the castle.

well no offence to the CM (bc I'm gonna try to be one soon) but they will tell you whatever they need to to keep the magic flowing. And really they don't tell ppl "oh yay all the changing is done in the secrect underground storage where you can see Mickey without his head" hey don't say that to often.
so they could be telling the truth or doing the whole flow of the magic thing but I never heard in all my 15 years that they changed in the castle. I don't think there's room. there's a resturant andnow a suite in there and the rest is hollow. I don't think there would be room.

Like I said in my last 2 posts to this chain, the SUITE that used to be the SECRET room, was used as the changing area, and I don't think they'd lie to you on the Keys to the Kingdom tour, you pay the fee cuz you want the truth.

For a while, the secret room (we are talking about the one on the upper floor of the castle, right?) was used as the telephone operator's office.
