It depends on the CM and what the picture is. If the picture was taken backstage, Disney does have the right to confescate the camera because they 'took' a piece of their property which isn't accessable to guests. How people get backstage? Sometimes rides break down and need to be evac'd off and taken through side/back doors that lead backstage to the quickest path that lead back to the park, and there could be some things that you might want to take a picture of because you've been stuck on a ride, got to walk through part of it and here's what's behind, oh look at this *click* and that *click* and here's so and so without their head *click* and then they go home and share with their friends. Disney wants to preserve their magic by all means, even if it means taking your camera, but honestly I don't think all CM's would take your cameras when they catch you, they'll tell you to stop and warn you, and if you continue, then they'll take action.

Disney World's property, as a whole, is twice the size of the island of Manhattan.

    Best Ride at Disney!!

This may have already been discussed but one of my favorites rides (besides the Carousel of Progress) is the monorail ride from the MK to EPCOT AFTER EPCOT is closed in the front car. Now, you will probably need to be staying on property to do this because you will need to wait on a Extra Magic Evening hour and leave MK well AFTER EPCOT has closed for the night. You have to ask to sit in the front car. The ride over is so relaxing and once you get to EPCOT, the park is empty and everything is lit up. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen in the parks. This is especially true if they have all the Christmas decorations up. It is a must do every time we go to the parks.

Something nice that happened to my daughter: We came into MGM (06) and she was wearing her lanyard with pins on it. Apparently, something happened with one of her backings and one fell off somewhere in the park. We happened to mention it to a CM near B&BLive, and she gave my daughter a slip to take to any store selling pins in the park for that specific day to pick out a new pin to replace it! How nice! So, if you happen to lose one along the way, let a CM know and maybe they'll halp you out, too!

You are talking about club 33 and it is at disneyland. Disney World doesn't have any such place on property.

bodaciousdp, the place you mentioned is Club 33 at Disneyland. It's a members-only place and the only way in is with a current member. The waiting list to join is very long and it's not cheap! A friend of mine went there several years ago with her boyfriend and his parents and had a great time. Needless to say, I offered to go in her place, but she declined the offer.

Edited to add: Maestr034 snuck in before me. Guess I should type faster, huh?

I am almost positive that they still do. When I went in 2002 for Christmas, I remember going to regular park hours, where they had SpectroMagic and Wishes, and then after park hours that were dedicated to Christmas celebrations with hot chocolate and cookies and all kinds of activities. Of course, I went the first week in December, I'm not sure if things change as you get closer to Christmas...

We were just there this past December '07, both Wishes and Spectro Magic ran, but as always you'll have to check the Disney calander later this year to make sure they will be running Dec. '08.
