Wow, this forum is Soooo Loooong! It took me almost a week to get through it.

I do have a couple of fun secrets and facts.

First, at the Cosmic Ray Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland (MK), the stage where Sonny Eclipse performs actually rises into the ceiling revealing a second stage below it. When I was in high school my show choir performed there. We got to go in the staff tunnels to get to the elevator for the stage and rise up on it. It was very cool to see backstage, -passing some of the costume rooms.

Another secret is about Tinkerbell during Wishes. My friend was a CM and told me that because of the weight requirement there are only a few people that can "fly." One is an elderly lady, and the other is actually a guy!

My last little fun fact is that the Tree of Life (AK) was constructed from an oil rig shipped inland from the Gulf of Mexico. Then they created the outside around it. The leaves and branches actually sway in the wind.

I am super excited about my trip in a month! I haven't been in five years, and I'm going with my BF who has NEVER been! We're staying at the All-Star Music, and were lucky enough to get a reservation at CRT! Since we're only being there a few days, we're only checking out MK and Hollywood (along with Downtown Disney and the Boardwalk.) I'm going to keep checking around this site for more tips!

I have been to the TT VIP lounge with LivLuvsTink. It was very creative and clean. We got into the TT VIP lounge because we met a nice lady that was from Pittsburgh and my family and LivLuvsTink's family all love Pittsburgh. GO STEELERS IN THE SUPER BOWL!

Also, when we got off of test track with our friends, we were talking to the cast member at the place where you see the silver car. We found out that she's from where we live and she asked us if we wanted to go up to the GMC lounge. We got to go through a side door and got free soda and clean bathrooms! When you ride on Test Track and you see a window to your left right before you go into the heating chamber, that's where it is and you can watch the people on the ride. P.S. It has the best view of Future World i've ever seen!

Yeah that was amazing! I will never forget that day. I was only your mom and my dad the others missed out!

i've been a fan of lou's podcast since almost the beginning, but i have just recently joined the forum. i love reading about all the little secrets about the parks and have read all 77 pages of this thread... the thing i really want to know is whether or not the umbrella from "singin in the rain" is still there in disney hollywood studios??? my fiance and i are heading to wdw NEXT WEEK (!!!!!) and we would really love to see it (we both love the movie)! i haven't seen any posts about it on this thread since the 2007 posts, so i am wondering if it is still there. does anyone know?

This is a "luck" secret. In the past two weeks I have been about 6 times and have closed out the Magic kingdom (very last one out of the park) and get the front of the monorail and make about 4 or five trips around the 7seas lagoon and when the very last person getd off the train, i ask the driver if i can drive and 4 out of 6 times they have said yes. It needs to be YOU and the DRIVER and no one else on the train and they wil let ou stand nex to them and drive it. TALK ABOUT VIP!!!! In the past two weeks I have gotten really close to the magic and as the park closes have talked alot with CM's I feel i gotten the ultimate backstage tour...into the minds and dreams of CM's

When I was younger we always stayed at the Contemporary because it was so convenient in location to the Magic Kingdom. My sisters and I have rode in the front car a few times, once the driver let me stand next to him and he let me put my hands on the lever...he put his over mine and told me that I was actually driving. During the same trip, he let me make the announcements into the PA system on the train...when we got off of the monorail the rest of my family that was sitting in the back told me that they heard everything that I said...It was a "Magical Moment!"

My family friend actually works at GM and we get the privilege of using the lounge. The first time my family used it I wasn't able to be with them since I was in school at the time. All I heard about from them was this lounge and the free soda and snacks that they received. We went back down this winter break and I was so excited to enter this lounge and get free food and drinks inside Disney. Turns out this recession has hit GM hard. When we finally got up there and made it to where the food and drinks were supposed to be there was a nice little saying explaining very politely that due to the recent economic crisis GM has had to make many cuts and it turns out they could no longer afford chips and soda for their VIP members. I found this rather hilarious and we all got a good laugh about it. And yes the view is wonderful. We took a couple of pictures up there but I cant seem to get them on here

Also made it into the VIP lounge at Mission: Space. They had many drinks and some wonderful hot chocolate even though it was 70 degrees out. They also had a couple of games and a station where you could send an interactive email to friends. Wonderful times. Being able to go to the front of the line whenever your ready to ride isn't too shabby either

Hiya! I'm kinda new to the boards and it doesn't look like anyone has posted on here in a while but I have a question. My family and I are leaving for WDW the second week of June and I was wondering if the paintbrush hunt on Tom Sawyers island was still going on. I don't want to bother getting there early just to find that it's not going on anymore '^^
As for tips, the only thing I can say is to take your time and make sure you enjoy everything. It's a vacation so take some time to just sit back, relax and enjoy your time in the happiest place on Earth!

The last time i opened the Island in 2007, we still hid the paintbrushes on the island in the morning.
