Quick fact about the MK utilidoors.
For the 35th Anniversary of WDW, they put up banners along the Tomorrowland tunnel depicting a extremely brief timeline of the parks. It was pretty cool.
Hi everyone, I've been a fan of the podcast for a while, but am new to the forum. I love this thread and have made it to page 50 so far. But I couldn't wait any longer to jump in with my Tip/Secret and I'm pretty sure its not posted yet. Some people may not like it. I am a smoker and I understand that most people don't like it and I don't want to bother anyone so I don't mind going to a separate place to do it. So my first tip is to the other smokers and that is that most of the smoking areas are not even on the maps, so just ask a CM and there is usually one very near by. But here is where the tip to everyone comes in. The smoking areas on the map are usually crowded, but the ones that are not on the map are usually empty. And being that Disney doesn't want the smoking out in public, these place are tucked away and private and quiet. So they can be a nice little break from the hustle and bustle. I remember a few really nice private places at AK, and some nice gardens at WS in EPCOT. They are a nice place to take a break. I hope someone finds this info useful, and this forum seems like a great place to spend time.
I haven't been able to read through all of the pages and I'm sure this is on there but my secret is that the red phone booths in the England pavillion work! The numbers for each one are (407) 827-9861, (407) 827-9862, and (407) 827-9863. I've gotten lucky a few times and been able to talk to people in them but its really fun to try it out.
I'm so going to call the phones!

As of my last trip in May, the following were not working/missing.
The Gene Kelly umbrella in Hollywood Studios.
The Goofy bench in front of Tony's.
The bench at the end of Maelstrom.
The garbage can in the Electric Umbrella.
The magical drinking fountain near the Imagination Pavilion.
The well outside Indiana Jones.
The Coke coolers in the African Outpost in Epcot.
I was starting to wonder if Disney has decided not to continue these or if maintenance has been cut during this low economy. :-[
That really stinks! I will check in September. What did the bench near Maelstrom do?
The bench at the end of the Maelstrom would say a few random phrases when you sat down. I even asked the cast member and he confirmed I had the correct bench and that it was not working and had not been for some time. As you disembark it is the bench all the way to the back right. In the village scene before you enter the theater.:(
i don't know if this is still going on, but a couple of weeks ago, during the main street light parade, there was a pathway to Frontierland that had you going behind the facad's of the buildings of main street. cast members told us not to take pictures, but it was REALLY cool. it's awesome for behind the scenes stuff.
