This isn't very much a secret, but a fun bit 'o' trivia that I really enjoy about Animal Kingdom Park. Each of the shopping locations and rest. decor on Discovery Island at Animal kingdom Park are themed! Take a look around at all of the art work and see if you can figure out what the themes are!

You are exactly correct. The best time to "pull the rope" is at night time when the park, or surrounding area, tends to be a bit on the quite side. Pull the rope..and stand as close as you can to where you do this. Make sure to pull the rope at least three or four times are different things happen each time. It is really a great hidden gem of the park.

I enjoy walking around Hollywood Studios at night. The Ewok Village (when it's on) is nice to hear in the evening.

I read that in a book! I cannot wait to go back next year and see the theming they were talking about.

Re: Your best WDW Secret!!
I went through the behind the magic tour. There is a lot of things that they show you, one of which is the Imagingeering section. There is a Tool section that has every tool imagined and some very custom ones. (this is where the Captain EO sign was hianging when I went, Before they needed it again)
Such a guy thing I know.

"Fortuosity, That's me Own word..."
When I went to Disney for the first time there was a Magic I felt. I could do anything or be anything. No feeling would ever top this......
Then I took my daughter.

Re: Your best WDW Secret!!
not much a secret, but more of a tip, actually a very obvious one that some people just don't realize: you CAN have 2 fastpasses at once! If you have a ride with a return time of 11:00-12:00, once 11:00 hits you can go get another fastpass before you ride your 11:00-12:00 fastpassed ride, then when you get off you can get onto your 2nd fastpassed ride. However, I think many people here are knowledgeable about this, but thought I'd share anyway.

Here is a secret. Wear a shirt that represents the college you attended. More than likely you will run into a castmember that goes to that school or knows someone that does while they are there for the college program. Most of the time the cast member will strike up a conversation and give some type of magical gift.

I must have skipped a few pages because after I posted the question, I found another answer that said it is an umbrella on a post that rains when you pull on it.
Anyway, I have never seen it. I will have to look for it the next time I go.
I have seen it and posed just like Gene Kelly for a picture. I was hanging on to the umbrella so I guess I "pulled" it but it didn't rain. I would have been in for quite a shock if it had because I had never heard this before.

Or, alternatively, the CM might have gone to the rival institution, and will thus assign you to the worst part of a particular vehicle!

it used to "rain"... i have a photo like that... but i think that feature has been disabled...
anyone know if this was moved during the years... i really dont remember it being in its current location back in the early 90's... but i didnt know my way around the park then so i could be wrong on this...
