I would never consider it a thrill ride, but it is one of my favorite attractions. The ride gives you this amazing sensation of flying which is just amazing, the wind in your face and the smells add to the whole experience so well. Also, the music in the attraction is spectacular, I listen to it all the time. I can't really put my finger on why I think it is amazing, but there is just something about it that it just pure Disney magic.
No, it's not a "thrill" ride in the traditional sense. I know that because I don't ride "thrill" rides and I love riding Soarin'. It's a thrill ride in that its a total sensory experience...not just the heart beating out of your chest, eyes crossing, and imminent passing out sensation. Soarin' is a thrill ride for people like me who are at the lower end of the thrill rating .
but on the maps doesnt it list it as a "thrill" ride. disney's meaning of "thrill" is something that can scare you.
If you are affraid of heights it is probably pretty scary. There is probably predetermined guidelines it falls under that puts it in the category of a thrill ride.
yea i guess. but whats so great abut it? you sit in a chair go up and watch a film. thats it.
What's so great about Soarin'?
Only everything.
I would consider it more thrilling than a thrill ride. The combination of sights and smells makes for a thrilling experience. I know I'm not going to knock the golfer in the head, but my legs lift up just the same every time. I was scared out of my skin ridding in a ski lift a few years ago, so going para-sailing is pretty much not ever going to happen. This is as close as I can get to the real thing. It's one of those rides that you have to let yourself go a little, and get immersed in the experience.
It's not a thrill ride. Being a pilot, it's the closest, and cheapest way to feel like you're flying.
I agree, the ride isn't that great. At the very least they should have made it soarin over florida.:musa:
i agree with you. it should of been over florida. maybe then i would of liked it more
Think its the smell of the ocean
Me and my girlfriend went on saorin using fastpasses on a very crowded day last july and she said that if they waited in the regular line for that ride she would have been upset. Thats the only time i ever heard her talk bad about anything that is disney related.
p.s. i like Putty from seinfeld in the preshow-pirate2-
I think the last scene should be flying over WDW.
