| Great Movie Ride question During the gangster scene in the Great Movie Ride, where they gangster takes control of the ride vehicle, he/she shoots and the red light and it goes out. Does anyone know how they achieve this, is it like precise timing, or something else? Thanks!! |

| I don't know, but I'll be interested to see if someone else does. (I would have to say that your initial thought - precise timing - sounds logical.) |

| Fastpass Holder | That's a good thought. I was thinking that maybe the Gangster CM pushes a button when they shoot. Or they have done it so many times the just know when to shoot. Someone ought to email Lou, I bet he would know.

| If you listen to the sound effects, there's a distant "gun shot." That cues the cast member to aim the gun at the light. It's the same in the western scene and the gangster scene. |

| i have 3 theories: a)music cue (actually there may not be music at this time) b)sound effect cue c)the gangster that takes over the next car is hiding and switches the light when he sees him shoot

| Fastpass Holder | Maybe he/she really shoots it. The CM that just got of, runs over there and replaces the bulb as the car goes into the next scene. ![]()

| Disney Fan and Twilighter | Maybe it is "magic". |

| Annual Passholder | Pushing a button would make sense. But i've been on it before when she was moving her arm to aim at the light and it went out mid aim. |

| Disney Fan and Twilighter | I looked on Wikipedia and it didn't say how it is done. |

| Fastpass Holder | I think sbmmickey's explanation is probably how it is done. The problem is, there are so many gunshots in those two scenes. There must be a certain kind of gunshot that only the CM knows.

| It is a different sounding gunshot that cues them. I don't know how to explain it unless you're there. I found a clip on youtube. About 4:58 into the video you hear a "cartoon" sounding gunshot and then he shoots it. I'm sure it's automated, but the gunshot is the cue to aim the gun. Here's the clip: YouTube - The Great Movie Ride |

| Fastpass Holder | Oh ok, I heard it. It's that "classic" ricochet sound right before he shoots it, right? Thanks for telling and clarifying for us.
