Sword in the stone question

How do they hold the sword in the stone down into whatever its in? (Sorry not sure of what the thing its in is called) But I am just wondering if its like magnets, or attached to some weight locking system? Any answers? Thanks!

It's defineatly some sort of locking mechanism. It couldn't be magnets because it moves when you pull on it.

Unfortunatly, they no longer have the show with Merlin. Instead the kids(and adults) can go up in turns and pull out the sword for photo ops. When we were there in Sopt 07 they had a Photopass person there taking pics

I wasted all my arm energy on it once. Luckily I don't use my arms much in Disney World. It's my legs that hurt the most. I want to rent a Segway at EPCOT one day.

The last time I was in the MK was last week, and they had the sword roped off with yellow caution tape! It was only like that for a day or so I think. Does anyone know what they were doing??

yes the sword does come out me and my son went there to take some pics and there was a really nice CM there and had something in this pocket that would let the sword come up about 15 inchs or so...we have some great pics
