Yeah. we were actually heading over to space mountain when we saw it was closed. My family was all bummed out, but i had already been a member of this site for a couple of months and i had heard about people going on TTA when it was closed to take pictures. its really hard to snap them though because if you use flash, then you get a glare off the window.

I also saw it from the TTA 2 years ago. Very weird to see it with the lights on.

I have also been lucky enough to be on the TTA when Space Mountain was broken down. It is really cool to see in person. Its a little scary for us tall people because it tells you how close you really are to the metal bars above.

I have seen the ride with the lights on when i rode the People Mover. There is so much wasted space in there.

I've had the opportunity to RIDE it with the lights on and let me tell you that it is CREEPY how close the metal bars are to each other. Great ride, though, once in a lifetime experience!!

Totally agree. It's amazing how much empty space there is in there.

Question: I read a rumor that Space Mountain was originally going to be partially outdoors. That is why there is an area on top that is flat, but sloped. Does anyone know for a fact if this is true or not?
