We always used to go to the Magic Kingdom first ever since I was a really little kid (when it was only MK and Epcot), but since I started going on my own I like to save MK for later in the week so their is still something to look forward to. We usually get there early AM and do either AK or HS the first day. Maybe Magic the second day or third but the first ride is always the Haunted Mansion with number 2 being Pirates. This will be my first trip coming up with the HM refurb I hope I dont miss the spiders too much.

Re: Your Favorite Disney World Tradition!
Unfortunately this year was the first year that we brought the kids, so we really don't have any traditions yet...I however was able to carry on one that started way back in 1978...I got my picture taken with Mickey...that has happened every year since the first time.

Re: Your Favorite Disney World Tradition!
We have quite a few but one I like is walking into DHS backwards. It was started back in 1990 by my DS who was 4 yrs old at the time. My DH would always video tape us entering the parks and we'd turn and wave at the camera. Well DS just decided to always walk in backwards. He'd stumble and laugh and wave at the camera. Ever since then it's been our crazy family tradition.

Haha that's a neat one. I love how it is basically specific to your family too

We have a ton of them but the one that first came to mind is going to Sommerfest at the Germany pavilion and getting a bratwurst, pretzel, and a crumb cake. We absolutely love that place and the bread that comes with the bratwurst is outstanding. I need one right now!

Re: Your Favorite Disney World Tradition!
I like to do all four major parks in a single day.
it was cool the first time and customized maps helped the last two

"Fortuosity, That's me Own word..."
When I went to Disney for the first time there was a Magic I felt. I could do anything or be anything. No feeling would ever top this......
Then I took my daughter.

Re: Your Favorite Disney World Tradition!
i like the all 4 in one day... ive done that... but i like it in the summer when you can start in a EMH morning and end in a EMH night... otherwise you really cannot do much on that day...

Wow that is a great idea but I so love taking my time! We only hop to Animal Kingdom sometime if MK has EMH at night we hope back there after the DHS closes.

Re: Your Favorite Disney World Tradition!
Here's what popped into my mind.
1. My mom's whole family goes to WDW every two years or so. We always fight over the design for our group t-shirt, and when in WDW, we always have a few group photos taken.
2. I agree with the person who said that the MK should be the last park you visit because it's the proper way to say goodbye to WDW. I always try to arrange my trip that way.
3. I always eat at The Plaza Restaurant once, and I always have an oatmeal raisin cookie from Earl of Sandwich. Oh, that made me hungry.
4. I have watched Illuminations from the exact same spot for the past 8 years or so. I am going to WDW solo in December 2010 for the first time - celebrating finishing my second bachelor's degree! - and I guarantee that I'll watch Illuminations from that spot, even though I'll be alone.
5. I very rarely watch Illuminations without mogging on a kringla from the Norwegian bakery. I like 'em without and without almonds.

Hmm. I think that if I tell you specifically where it's at, I might feel like I've given up a family secret. Sorry if that sounds crazy LOL. I will say that it's on the Mexico side, as opposed to the Canada side. It's nothing great - no especially fantastic view of the show. It's just special for sentimental reasons.

My mom and I always have to get grapes whenever we get a kids meal (which is like every meal)
than we laugh and my brother looks at us like he wants to kill us... AHH GOOD TIMES, GOOD TIMES

Since Pluto is no longer a planet. I think Mickey should be the new one.
