Gosh, last time i went to The World, I ate at Restaurant Marrakesh and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely my favorite at the moment...
Tough to choose, but I also really like San Angel Inn at the Mexico pavilion. Not only are the food and atmosphere great, but for my family it always is the location for dinner on our first night of vacation.
Only problem now is that the restaurant will be closed during our next trip in June!
Anyone else have a traditional first night dinner spot?
My votes would've been totally different if I could pick places I'd like to go. In the 25-30 times I've been to Disney World, only my childhood trips in the 80's were ones planned far enough in advance to get reservations, and we didn't need them back then anyway. So Crystal Palace and Beaches & Cream are the only ones I had been to (as I have no recollection of where we went when I was 5 & even when I was 12 - I think it was usually counter service anyway)..
Narcoossee's what else can I say

My favorite Resturant at WDW is Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I love the food especialy the Meat and the sides. I love the way Boma looks. Great service
My favorite is Pecos Bill even though its counter service. I love all resturants in disney but Pecos Bill seems to be my favorite. Its in Frontierland, my favorite land, and right next to Country Bears, one of my favorite shows and exits right into the resturant.
But as for sit down meals, I would have to say that Rainforest Cafe is my favorite. There used to be one near my home, but it closed. I can't wait to try T-Rex Cafe this vacation.

somehow i have the impression that JIKO is FAR underrated? i really dig that place....
For counter service, my 2 favorites are Pecos Bill's in the MK, and The Earl of Sandwich in DTD.

I remember YEARS ago my wife and I stopped in for a burger at Pecos Bill's and next thing we knew, we were in the middle of a revue! It was really cool. They since took away the revue but I think Woody and the gang are there now. I'm going to try to go there this year.

Looks like the favorite likes and dislikes here are pretty consistent with what everyone says in the UG.
It's all fun!
My wife and I love Le Cellier! There's nothing better than the Chedder Cheese soup. My wife makes a pretty wicked imitation. Everyone's invited over next time she makes it!
