Smile Best Place to Propose

I have been very much in love with my girlfriend for a long time and would like to propose... We are both HUGE fans of Disney in general and WDW in specific.

I'm soliciting recommendations for the best secluded and quiet places to propose to Jen. I have thought about chartering the Breathless II or the courtyard in the England pavilion... Any other interesting possbilities?

She is such a wonderful woman, and I can't wait to start that new phase of my life with her...

I forgot to mention, but the last time either of us were at WDW was 2000 (at different times). It will be a special trip regardless, but I want this to be the best trip for us.

Thanks in advance,
Rob

Re: Best Place to Propose

disneydreamer98 took the words right out of my mouth. I think that if I had to propose that I would either do it there or on breathless.

Congrats and good luck!

For the whimsical, what about in the pilot's cabin of the monorail, assuming a ride in the pilot's cabin is possible when we manage to go?

Sorry, since July 4 no more monorail rides in the front. Good idea anyway!!! I've seen many people propose in many places in WDW, it all comes down to is your girlfriend. Ask yourself what in WDW or about WDW does she like? If she likes the train propose on the train or even if she likes Slash Mountain on the way down the drop. I hope you get that!!!

I would like to hope and believe there will one day be rides in the front again, as I never had the chance... Any official word on if/when that will happen again?

No, Disney didnt want people asking the pilots about it. You know how Disney tries keep things on the down low.

Re: Best Place to Propose

My fiance proposed to me by the water at our hotel (Coronado Springs). It was a beautiful night and we decided to take a walk.....and he just told me that he didn't want to wait anymore and did it right there. (Also, he knew that I would want to have some added time left in our trip to be able to wear the Just Engaged button. ) He knows me so well.

To me, that was just as romantic as if he had done it at some beautiful location during a fireworks show. In fact, he could have done it at Wal-Mart and my answer would have been the same. It all comes down to when it feels right and what she would love.

Congratulations!

Re: Best Place to Propose

Congrats!!!

I would say on Main Street.

If it were me, I'm a Jungle Cruise kind of gal, so I'd say on there. I agree with a previous poster who said whatever your girl loves about Disney, do it there!

Congrats again!

Re: Best Place to Propose

I proposed in the California Grill Resturaunt. It overlooks the Magic Kingdom...we had a window table and proposed during the fireworks....they also have a balcony that would be a great quiet place to propose overlooking the magic kingdom

Re: Best Place to Propose

I like the suggestions about the beach or the breathless boat. Those are more quiet, secluded, and romantic, which is what most girls like
If my boyfriend had proposed at Disney World, I would have liked it to be during the fireworks.
