    Birthday Button

I got a couple of Birthday Buttons (MK and EPCOT) a couple of years ago. When I walked into Exposition Hall, Scoop Sanderson (the Main St. Gazette's Ace Reporter) was hanging around and sang me happy birthday. I also was given a bottled water for free when I tried to purchase one. Every store you walk into (and I walk into them all) wish you Happy Birthday.

They really make you feel Special.

I will be going to WDW in March/April 2006. It will be my mom's birthday, don't know which one, but one of the many, and hopfully many to come, can i get her a button and surprise her, or must she get it herself? I could be "sneeky" and just say its for me. I'd get it when we came home anyways, i collect the pins, lol. Any infor would be great, and anything else you know about what i can do (that is withing my price range of cheap) for my mother to help her celebrate another revolution around the sun in a very magical place would do wonders, plus score brownie points! Thanks, Dave

    WELCOME HOCKEYREF8.!!!!!!!

Tell the hotel if you are staying on site. They sometimes do special things like balloons and cards as a magical moment(aka-free...lol)

He has a good question tho...Do we have to drag the stroller in so I can get the Un-birthday pin for my dd or will they give me what I need if I explain ?
It's a Disney thing. If you understood, your only question would be "can I go?"

it doesn't even have to be your actual birthday to get a button, so there should be absolutely no problem getting one for someone else. no need to explain anything either. also, if you want to pay a little and make the job easier for yourself, there's at least one person on eBay selling all 3 buttons for $10 i think.

edit: can't find the birthday buttons on ebay (guess he sold them all), did find the downtown disney one here though:

edit x 2: thanks to froogle, found this. this is the guy who was selling them on eBay but presumably sold them already:

as far as birthday stuff in general, there's a page with some ideas here: http://allearsnet.com/pl/bdayad.htm

you also have http://www.disneyflorist.com and, if applicable, build-a-bear sells multiple disney outfits ( http://www.buildabear.com/shop/brows...ategory=Disney ). you can buy the whole bear online, even with a customized voice message built into the bear if you like.

I didn't know about the birthday buttons, but I was at the MK Saturday (7/30/05) for my 50th birthday and I got a very special surprise. I am the Paul M from the new thread about Space Mountain with the lights on and I had just bought myself the digital camera with video capability as my birthday present to me and, since I don't live too far away, I decided a trip to WDW would be a good chance to try it out. I had been taking still shots from the TTA up until we entered Space Mountain. However, I was so surprised to see the ride was stopped and the lights were on, I almost forgot to switch to video mode and start shooting. I rerode and the lights were still on when we entered the next time, but suddenly went out and the ride started back up.

Thank you to everyone who has added input to my question of the birthday button. I'm glad to see i can finally fit in somewhere. All my other friends don't like disney which is a sin in itself. People at work think i'm nuts, i work in a prison, and i'll pull into the parking lot playing disney music as loud as i can, u should see the looks! But any ways, thank you again, and i'll be on here everyday, i love this site, thank you Lou!

I used to love the Goofy phone call!!! I would always ask kids if they'd talked to Goofy yet because he had called looking for them. The shocked look on their face was great...especially if they talked back to him. I had to work on my birthday (by choice), so a fellow CM gave me a button to wear. It was fun to meet all the guests who shared my birthday. I actually kept my camera onstage and took my pic with a bunch of them!! It was one of my favourite days.
