You make a right just after the archway at Adventureland, past the Crystal Palace, and in the back entrance to Casey's. From there, every single store along Main Street is actually one building! You can walk all the way down without going outside. It's great for parade avoidance and on those hot days when you just want to be inside!

I like the pathway between Toontown and Tomorrowland that runs along the train track. It's a nice quiet and usually empty pathway to avoid the crowds. There used to be a couple of benches back there which was a nice place to take a rest...but during our June trip they were gone!
I hope it was just temporary and that they will be bringing them back!
-
ya, everytime i see that path from the train its deserted, much easier way to get to the middle of Tomorrowland than going by through Fantasyland.
Man has a Dream, and thats a start...

We went that way on our last trip in 2003 in the evening. It was really nice and quiet. Only 2 people on it. It was a great way to go from Toon to Tomorrowland. Didn't notice the benches but I wasn't looking either.

About the main street cut through......once you get to the end of the stores - you are STUCK! I tried that way and once I came out to the end, the parade path was cut off and I couldn't cross....sniff sniff.

I like by-passing the crowds at the netrance to DAK by just going through the Rainforest...it works wonders!

Not sure if you would consider this a shortcut, but I LOVE using the International Gateway in Epcot. It's is sooo much less crowded than the main entrance.
I also like the shortcut between Adventureland and Frontierland between the shop/restaurant.

But I thought that was the point of the "Secrets of WDW" forum!
I'll add one more pathway to my contribution:
In the MK, I always take the wooden walkway along the Rivers of America when going between Adventureland and Fantasyland or the HM. There's often nobody else using it, unless there's a parade. It cretainly makes it nice to not have to "crowd walk" when you're in a hurry to hear Grim Grinning Ghosts!

I love the path with the rose bushes in Epcot that leads from the Imagination side of Future World to the McDonalds refreshment port near Canada. It's busy during Flower & Garden (but so beautiful), but not as busy at other times.

Be careful that you don't pick up any hitchhikers in your strollers either!

When leaving Magic Kingdom after Wishes and it's time to head back to the TTC parking lot, check out the line at the Express Monorail before running up the ramp. If you estimate more than two trains of people in front of you, keep walking right on past and up the ramp on the far side for the resort monorail. This monorail, although it is technically the resort monorail, also makes a stop at the TTC on its way by. The trip might take a couple minutes longer to make the extra stop at the contemprary or something, but it beats waiting another 15 to get on a train back at MK. Somedays a sign will be up at the entrance to the resort monorail advertising a stop at TTC, but most days it will not, making this a fairly well-kept secret, and one of my favorites.
But shhh... don't tell too many people, or then it wont be as effective!
