Two Words... DE - VINE!!!

If you see the trees between Africa and Asia in DAK moving a little bit, it may not be the wind...

Look for (man does this sound weird), a very beautiful face poking from the greenery.

De-Vine (get it, de-VINE?) is (did I mention she's HOT) woman dressed in an elaborate costume on stilts. She emerges gracefully from the trees on the path between Africa and Asia and playfully interacts with the guests (and the environment). If you get a chance, be sure to stop for a moment and watch this amazing display of Disney Magic.

Someone told me that there is only one woman who has played the "role" of De-Vine. Anyone know if that's true? It's hard to believe that there would be only one CM who plays that role. (Then again, Miyuki in Japan has been the only candy maker for years!)

I have seen De-vine in advertisments for the AK before, but have never gotten to see her in person. I am going to look for her next time.

We managed to see her on our first trip to the Ak - I heard one woman saying she'd been waiting a year to get a photo! Guess we were lucky...

But I was a little surprised at how quickly she gets about - guess I was expecting her to be more like the living statues. Had to move pretty fast to get a photo and even then didn't come out too great.
