Is the "singing" Umbrealla in Disney-MGM Studios still there near the old Hunchback theater?

Anyone have a picture they can post here for those that may have never seen it?

Last time I was at MGM - which was late October. It was there, but construction walls for the new stunt show were right in fron of it. Just a few feet away. So I do not know if the umbrella will remain once the new show opens. Seemed kind of tight around there!

Hi - I was just there last month and the umbrella is there but it wasn't working. Perhaps because right next door they're doing the construction for the Stunt Show

oh well, looks like I get to keep searching for this umbrella. When we were down in September I asked several CM's if they knew where it was located and everyone gave me different locations. Obviously I never found it. So can any of you provide a little more direction as to where it is located?

The Umbrella is across from the Amphitheater where the Hunchback show used to be, right down the block from the Arc de Triumph end of the NY Street. Even though NYStreet is part of the current renovations I understand the Umbrella is still there.


I hope it survives the renovation.

Okay as a theatre person and Gene Kelly Lover -- please tell me how I have missed this? Since I have been on DisBoards I heard about it - but never have seen it - Please - explain it to me!

I was in MGM yesterday (02/28) you cannot get to the umbrella now.

That part of the New York city street is completely walled off.

So, I don't know if the umbrella will be staying or not.

Even better new for everyone: It survived the newest construction. In fact they have finished the wall behind it but the rest of the building is still under repair. Looks like it will stay till the end. I posted a pic of it in the MGM gallery. The rain still needs fixed. It spurts at random when you hold on.

Speaking of updates, does nayone have any new pictures of the city streets that have been rebuilt? (I haven't been to WDW in a few months and would love to see the changes.. and I'm sure I'm not alone) Thanks!!
