ARRRGGHHH!!!! wish I could have known about it...I even took DD back to show it to her(she likes spiders-weird kid) there was no one in line...love stuff like this.
On a recent trip through the Amazon...errr, Adventureland, I made good on a Fast Pass for Jungle Cruise. Just as you exit the queue onto the dock from which you board, you pass through those turnstile things (it's not one of the older ones with the actual turning bar, but the newer ones with the infrared counter or whatever it is... not that this bit of info is really at all relative). But anywho... off to your right side there is a big ugly fake spider (a tarantula maybe?... I don't know my arachnids) in a cage. If you look closely at the turnstile as you pass through it, on the edge facing the dock, there is a small black button taped to the underside of the arm. It is attached to a thin wire which is camoflauged to blend in with the legs of the turnstile itself, and runs down into the floor. This is the "secret button" the CMs will push to make the crate containing the fake spider lurch forward as if it was about to fall over. This was actually pointed out to me by a small boy a few people ahead of me in line who asked me to push it. The CM standing nearby told me that he is suprised how many guests find the button but still can't figure out what it does.
So the next time you are waiting on your turn to take a Jungle Cruise, tell your friends to check out that cool spider... and then hit the button as they lean in close and have fun with their reaction! ...hehehe... my girlfriend is deathly afraid of spiders!
Just to help you get your bearings... this is looking at the spider crate with my back to the turnstile with the button. I didn't think to take a picture of the button at the time, but when I get back there I'll try to remember to grab one for ya if I can.
-EDIT-
Here ya go!
Here's another pic I got on a later trip. The button is circled in the first image, and the second image is just the same pic cropped down so you can see it better.

It's a Disney thing. If you understood, your only question would be "can I go?"

Just so you know I've added a picture to my original post in case you wanted to check it out.
Wow, I wasn't even sure if this was going to be a good "secret" or not. I figured someone else had to have known about this before me. I'm glad I"m getting such reactions from you guys.

Okay, can I just say how happy I am to know about this. I am scared to death of spiders and I always kinda cringe when we go by this thing. I know it isn't real but my fear isn't exactly rational. Good to know about this though I can handle things much better if I know what might happen. Plus now maybe I can get one of the kids with it
