I don't know, I can imagine quite a bit.![]()
The Disney Insider had an article this week about where first Mickey doll originated.
The first Mickey Mouse dolls were made by an enterprising housewife named Charlotte Clark after seeing her first Mickey Mouse cartoon. She obtained a license from Disney and made the dolls for several years. Since she was unable to satisfy the demand, Disney licensed McCall's to create a pattern so seamstresses could make their own Mickey dolls.
Oh, to be able to get those patterns again...or even better, to own an original pattern. Can you imagine what that pattern would be worth today?
