i need tips!!
Okay so I'm going to Disney World in 13 days!! It was my graduation present. Just me and my mom are going. We're spending 5 days 4 nights. Anyways..I've been to Disney many times..but everytime I visited the park it was in between soccer games during tournaments at Christmas. I just wanted some tips or ideas since I've been to Disney but haven't gotten to really experience it yet!! Thanks!!:mickey:

What rides are you interested in? What parks are you visiting?
-
i'm going to MK, AK, MGM, and Epcot
i'm interested in anything and everything
-
I would try to hit most of the newer rides-Soarin, Expedition Everest, Tower of Terror, Rockin Roller Coaster.

I would say look around on here in all the threads (especially like the rumors and secrets categories), to get a feel of what you want to do and what special things you'd like to experience. Honestly I would say just go and soak up as much of it as you can, and not to worry about little tiny details!

here are a few must dos:
1. Ride Everest at night
2. If you are staying at the WDW resort, take advantage of the extra magic hours, especially during the evenings. WDW gets packed during the summer and most people (with lil kids) go home early; so by night time, the lines significantly decrease.
3. Ride PofC if you will be there in july! It will be openning then.
4. chocolate at Main St. Confectionery
5. Sci Fi Restaurant at MGM for milkshakes and snacks!
6. OH WAIT WAIT!!! I know, find the restaurants you want to go to (esp. if you are getting the dining plan) and look thru the menus. Decide and call WDW-DINE early and make reservations! In the summertime, the restaurants, esp. in the parks, get booked up so quickly.
Some of my favs are:
San Angel Inn
Brown Derby
Crystal Palace
Sci Fi Drive In
Spoodles
The restaurant in Italy (Fettucine...something??)
Hope this helped. Have fun. Maybe I will see you there!! Take care.

I recommend going on Everest its one of the best in Animal Kingdom. Plus recommend Soarin.

I agree that you should try to do most of the newer rides, and maybe make sure you get all of the rides in the parks done before you go to a water park, because i have been 9 times and we usually stay about 8 days, and don't get everything done because we spend two days in the waterparks.

Ride in the front of the monorail at the MK
Go to the parks during a rainstorm (i know that sounds dumb, but if you go, you can experience many rides with minimal wait. Like today, during what I call the Great MK Flood, Space had a 5 minute wait. You also stay cool).
Don't try to stick to any plan or schedule, it ruins the fun.
Wear your favorite sports team's gear (hopefully Ny Yankees). You'll have fun arguing with a CM over who's team is better
About the great MK Flood: Check the MK Flooding thread. Don't go in THAT rain.

i think another great thing to do is the MK at night. watch the wonderful Disney fireworks! Or another place to watch them is Epcot. I think the Disney fireworks are the best fireworks in the world!

thanks everyone!! i just got back today and i had a blast. i did get to do a lot of fun stuff although i wasn't able to ride everest because of the long long wait and the fact that i hate riding by myself and my mom won't ride anything. she freaked on primeival whirl. but i did have a great time and thank you for all the wonderful tips!!

Hello! My family is going to wdw soon. We are terrifed bunch...but we want to try Expedition Everest! Is is scary or is it kinda on the same level as Space mountain because we like Space Mountain but we dont like Rockin' Roller Coaster?
:minnie:

what is up with your signature?
anywho. Expedition Everest isn't nearly as intense as a lot of the coasters I have been on, but it is definitely more intense than any of the other coasters at WDW, if that makes sense.
