I've seen a bug at WDW.
Last September my fiancee and I had dinner at Cinderella Castle.
During the meal, she looked up to see a gigantic palmetto bug crawling up the wall right beside me.
After alerting our waitress, first the manager and then the head chef came over to profusely apologize. The manager tried to explain to us that a palmetto isn't a roach or a bad bug. 'Cept, uh, a palmetto bug is a roach.
I know that they're a genuine problem in Florida, so I didn't really hold it against them, but yuck.

On two different occassions, both while sitting on the curb of Main Street to watch SpectroMagic, we were taunted by a couple of those Palmetto bugs. EWW. I get the heebie jeebies just thinking about it.

I saw flies at the UK area while eating fish and chips, bees at The Land, and lovebugs everywhere.

I ran back to get the camera, but it had disappeared into the bushes by the time I got back.

I too saw one there as well. Funny that my age I really got excited about it too. I also did not get to take a photo of one. Thanks for proving that I was not seeing things. LOL

Well, considering the time We guests spend at the parks and resorts, the amount of anoiying bugs are very limited. We should be so lucky at home. LOL

During one trip to WDW I saw tons of bugs under the Tree of Life, so many in fact they were running their own show!!!!!!!!

The Spearmint Spray is an awesome idea! I didn't know they did that!
One thing I will say, however, is that when you get off the resort boat launches at night, the docks are sometimes so bad you can't even breathe! I wish they'd do something to control those problems, maybe a little spraying down there. I realize they can't do certain things for environmental resasons, but something needs to be done!
Also, over by the Animal Kingdom resorts, there are some funky lookin' bugs! When I stayed at All Star Movies, I actually saw a gasshopper type thing that was about 6 inches long, fat, had 6 legs with feet you could have put sneakers on, and he was so big you could actually see every feature on his wings and head. It was so scary! And I once had a cockroach in my room at All Star Sports...he was so fast that the Pest Control guy Disney sent couldn't catch it, so we had to change rooms at 2 AM! His name was Speedo GonRoaches, and he will forever be a memory of that trip

It seems whenever we are down at the end of May/Beginning of June there are Love Bugs. The year they opened AK Lodge we had problems with Mosquitoes, they got on it.
When they opened the Original Port Orleans I got up to feed my infant DD and there was a roach on her baby bottle. They moved us and a CM help me pack up and moved our stuff.
In August I was at the FQ and every time I was around the pool area I saw the roaches. Mostly in the walkway between the Hot Tub and the bar/laundry area. Yuck. Fortunately not in our room but we were 3rd floor far from pool area. Icky.
Tip: Spearmint. If you ever get those little mealy bugs in your kitchen cabinets, place wrapped sticks of Wrigley Double Mint Gum (Green Wrapper)on the shelves. Mealy bugs just up and leave.

We saw one roach at All Star Music. It was at night and my M-I-L completely freaked out. It was kind of funny because two days later we saw a bunny in the same area and she jumped a couple od feet in the air, thinking it was another roach. That would have been one big roach!!
