While I like the twinkling stars and the castle picture, I do not like the way the castle keeps "rising' everytime you change the page.

Ditto for me. I am also having problems with downloading the "reply to thread" page. Taking about a minute. I think you need more bandwidth, or my DSL is too slow at 100 Mbps?

Can you please tell me a little bit about how you are accessing the site? e.g. browser, platform, connection speed?

I have tested the site on IE and today on Firefox (which seems to have a slight delay issue with the vB dropdowns), yet I cannot replicate your reported issues at this time. I want to try to help resolve any issues you may be having, so please let me know via PM or email.

Note that other than color changes, there were no modifications made to the forum software which should be affecting speed, etc.

I have SBC Yahoo! DSL @ 100 Mbps. I have use Symantec anti-virus and firewall. Just finished installing IE 6 Service Pack2 on Internet Explorer. I have Compaq computer with 1.2 GHz Celeron.

This problem just started this morning. When I hit the "reply" button the graphics at top of the response page loads right away but underneath is yellow. At about 50 seconds the "reply to thread" appears and then the message icons appear left to right. Same thing happens when I try to "edit" a response. Before your updates the pages loaded in a few seconds. It probably has to do with the Active X and/or Java applets. Very frustrating.

Everything else is working normally.

ok - I have the rising castle as well but at least there are no tarps around it. I am not experiencing the delay when going into the reply mode. I too am on IE6 behind a firewall using whatever access our company has (t1 line???)

OK... this may just be a temporary issue, as we are doing some work "backstage" (notice what happens when you move your mouse over the graphic header!)

Although I have not been able to replicate this issue, I assume it is just a temporary slowdown due to work going on at the server which may temporarily make a page load a little slower.

wow the stars thing is cool! lou i dont know if this helps but i have a compaq computer and windows xp with microsoft internet explorer and a cable modem and it seems ok to me so far. great job

It seems I may have isolated the issue with regard to the delay in the popup menus. It seems the flash header may have been causing a heavy load on your individual PCs (as opposed to the server) which delayed the menus from loading quickly. We are working on making changes to resolve this (although the pretty flash header is still active in the main site).
