Userbars for DWT & MouseTunes!

reading back a few posts, how do you you animate the bars?

Oops, just saw we should only have two bars....which ones to keep....:scratchin

Hi all,

I'm glad you are all enjoying the userbars I created and I thank you so much for all the nice comments, but I must ask that due to bandwidth issues, please do not link directly to the userbars on my site - my cable company will have words with me if people keep it up.

Please download them to your computer and upload them again to your favourite image hosting service and call them from there. There are several to choose from, and I will even put a link to these ones to get you started:

AlecTronic, are you asking how is the userbar animated, or how do you make the userbars animate and scroll between other userbars?

If you're asking how to animate the userbars like the monorail one you have, I use Adobe Image Ready. You need to have some sort of software that will allow you to create frames and then move an image across the screen. You tell it where to begin, create a frame, move the image to where you want it to end, and then create what is called a "Tween". Don't ask me how they came up with these names, but OK...

If you're asking how to animate several bars into one, download the ones you like and use an image hosting service like http://ubanimator.com to animate and your newly created userbar graphics. Then all you need to do is call up the image from your hosting service and link to the IMG directly.

Hope I've been of at least some service in answering your question.

Dan - I love your userbars! I found quite a few to use!

Again, please try and keep to no more than two (OK three if they're REALLY cool), userbars in your signature. The userbar animator is a great way to have multiple bars, but not so many lines!

I wish I had room in my signature for a user bar. I do not know how to shrink the image in my siggie as i was a gift to me from someone. They look cool, rats cannot give up my home made figment image.

I agree Lou....if you're going to use more than one or two....use and animator program and have them rotate. I think stacking them clutters the boards and visually isn't very nice.

I follwed Dan's guide lines as laid out in post #34 and I think they look even better animated!!

Rich, They look great! I don't seem to have any software yet that I can use to make my own. I think Santa is going to have to bring me Photoshop.

... I haven't made any!!

All of them have come from Dan's own website. I then saved them to my laptop and used the animator to do the rest!!

(The Billy Elliot one was made for me by Dan after I put in a request).
