bolded new topics?

hey, i was wondering i know when you come back to the website anything you haven't read yet is bolded and new, but is there any setting to make it so until you've read it it stays bolded? because if i click something else, or if i just take a peek at one thing on the site while i'm in the middle of something it stinks later to sit there and figure out what i have or havent read. on my friends forums some stay bold until ive clicked it. so theoretically some of the posts from a few years ago would be bolded until i can catch up to that thanks alot for your help in advance

I thought it did stay bold until you clicked it? Maybe therse symbols on the side of the thread will help......
