Computer experts need your help, unable to chat.

I tried to get onto the chat last night for the first time and got the following:

I click on chat and I get the the following
1. "to help protect your security, Internet explorer stopped this site from installing an ActiveX control on
your computer".
2. I hit install ActiveX control.
3. Get window saying "windows needs your permissionto continue. If you started this action continue. IE add-on
installer microsoft windows.
4. Hit continue and get
5. IE add on installer security warning. Windows has blocked this software because it can't verify the publisher.

6. Hit continue and that's it.
I have microsoft vista. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it. I have successfully chatted on other sites, but they must use a different program.
