Removing countdown ticker

Haven't been able to remove my ticker or edit my signature. I do not even see the text for the ticker under my signature and when I try to remove the blurb about our next trip being for my DH's 40th and DS's 5th....I delete the words and then click on "Save Signature" and it does nothing! Would like to get these items removed since we've been home for a month now!!!!

You have to use the basic editor in edit options. It's the only way. You might have to get rid of everything and start over.

Okay....so I went into User CP, then Edit Options. First I tried choosing "do not show signature" and then went back into signature to redo it and it wouldn't accept it. So then I went back into Edit Options and tried clicking on "Reset Fields" so I could start from fresh and it did nothing.... I am not computer illiterate, but I just cannot figure this out and it's driving me crazy!!! I may be thinking twice about posting a countdown ticker again for our next trip! I would appreciate any help! I need plain and simple instructions!

1.go to Edit Options.
2.At the end of the page is Miscellaneous Options
3.select basic editor
4.save changes
5.go to Edit Signature
6.delete Sig.
7.save
8.go to Edit Options.
9.select enhanced Interface
10. save
11.redo your sig.

Your welcome. I had the same problem. It kind of freaked me out since I thought my computer was problem. It was not until later when I found out how to solve the problem.

Also...yes, Jarod, I think this should be made into a sticky....I've seen a lot of people out there with expired countdown timers just like I had until you helped me out! Thanks again for that! So who are the powers that be that we need to ask about this becoming a "sticky"....Lou???? Are you out there lurking???
