    Love bug damage to a rental car

    Love bug damage to a rental car
    Does anyone know how the car rental places at the airport handle love bug damage to the cars?

    If I rent a car for a week, drive it then return it to the airport covered in love bugs, will they charge me extra for cleaning and soon on?

    if the car is dirty i have had them charge me for cleaning.. they want it brung back clean and the same amount of gas

    Good question. If those things aren't removed fairly fast, it will damage the paint. Their little smashed bodies are very acidic.Those things were crazy when I was there in May.

    Expect the love bugs to be in full force in Sept. Most should be dissipating bu Oct, depending on the weather.
