I have sat in the front once with my father, the driver was very nice. He asked us alot of questions about our vacation so far. Great Experience

We will be returning in September also and like you, I am hoping that guests will be allowed once again.
Your right, it's safer in the Monorail than on your commute to work!

I rode up front for the first time this past April. It was so much fun. It was early evening and it was starting to get dark. The kids got a monorail pilot card.
Fastpass Holder
Last weekend there was a lady who asked (I overheard) and they aren't currently allowing guests up front.
I would venture to guess it would be quite a while before they'd allow it again. It's still too fresh in people's memories.
