Downtown Disney Transportation

What do you think about the transportation to and from the Downtown Disney Hotels? We're thinking about staying there.

We have stayed at the Hilton and the Palace. The transportation to the parks is perfect. The buses came on the half hour so it was easy to gauge. Back not so nice. We had to wait in a parking lot slot for the bus to come and retrieve us. Didn't care for that. What we did was monorail or bus to various hotels near whatever park we were in and take the downtown Disney bus and walk the balance to the hotel. The two hotels we stayed in were close to DTD. We also taxi'd back twice, under $10.00 The rooms were very nice, large, great beds more the deluxe end. Hilton had 3/4 business people. Pool nice but not Disney by any means.

We stayed at the Wyndham once and took the bus they offered into the park but used the bus to SSR for on the way back and just walked across the street. The bus stopped at multiple hotels so it was always jammed packed. And if you are going to the MK it drops you off at the TTC and not at the front of the park like on property resort buses do.

no problems the buses take you to all the parks and the hotels.

You can take a boat from them, or a bus.

Weeks ago, I had to get to Downtown Disney, and I was staying at the All-Star Music Resort; the transportation was quick and handy. The driver kept things lively.

Can you take a boat to the parks from DTD???
We stayed several years back at one of the hotels there and we had really nice bus transportation, it was a luxury bus (especially compared to Disney busses) and we had no problem at all.
