Getting from the Pop to Fort Wilderness?
We will be staying at the Pop in late July and are trying both Trail's End (for breakfast) and Hoop-Dee-Doo for the first time. I know these are both at Ft. Wilderness, but we have never been there. What is the best way to go using Disney transportation? (There are four of us - DH and boys 10 & 14).

Re: Getting from the Pop to Fort Wilderness?
Go to one of the parks then on to Ft. Wilderness campground. Get off that bus at the first stop it's called the "outpost" then on to the Purple line bus (inner resort bus) if I remember correctly. Ask the driver if they are going to the "Pioneer Hall" stop to make sure your on the right bus. Get off and the walk down towards the water front, you'll see Hoop Dee Doo sign first then right next door is Trail's End. Hope that's not to confusing! lol

Or...
If you take a bus from POP to MK, get on the boat to Ft. Wilderness. Once you get to the dock, it's a very short walk.
I like this route because from the boat, you get a good view of Wilderness Lodge on the way, which to me is one of the most beautiful resorts, but normally kind of hidden. I also like the boat because it's a nice, relaxing change of pace from another bus. In the morning, I bet you're likely to have the boat practically all to yourselves too!

Re: Getting from the Pop to Fort Wilderness?
Best way is definately to take the bus from Pop to MK. Walk to the boat dock and take the launch over to FW.
I love this trip - where else can you take a boat ride over the road! Very cool!!

Re: Getting from the Pop to Fort Wilderness?
Take the boat route. It's the easiest and the most scenic. If memory serves, Pioneer Hall is a straight walk from the boat dock. It shouldn't be hard to find at all.

Oh yeah, I forgot all about the boat lol.

Re: Getting from the Pop to Fort Wilderness?
Take the bus to the MK then take the boat to Ft. Wilderness. It is a really enjoyable ride and the walk it minimal from the dock to the Hoop-De-Doo. Also take the boat back to the Mk at night and you can take in the MK lights.

8Lovesmickey,
You can also go to Downtown Disney by bus from POP and catch the Ft.Wilderness bus right there at the DD stop when it pulls in.Also, don't just go to Trails End for breakfast only.We ate there a few years back for lunch and loved it.It's quiet and never crowded. The food is excellent.Sadly though, the prices did go up and it may be as much as $10 smackers for a lunch buffet.I know that's outrageous. When we ate there, the lunch biffet for adults was only $6.00 a piece.Kids were cheaper then too.We had to quit going there, but wish we still could. We are not extravagant eaters on vacation. But we don't eat fast food junk all the time either.
