| C-Ticket Holder | I recall hearing that Southwest Airlines was doing a trial run, at one resort only, of allowing Magical Express passengers to check their luggage at the resort. Does anyone have any info on how that trial is going? Or has anyone heard of any plans to move forward with adding Southwest Airlines baggage check to all resorts? I have not yet booked my flight home for our September trip. Thanks in advance.

| Re: Southwest Airlines & Luggage???? Haven't heard anything but will check it out for next months trip. Going, I like to retreive my bags before boarding DME bags. On the return it would be nice to send them from the hotel as other airlines have done in the past. ![]() |

| Here's hoping that it is a successful trial run and that it will be expanded to all of the resorts.

| Re: Southwest Airlines & Luggage???? I actually just used that service last week! It made my life so much easier! They printed out all of our boarding passes & left them on our door, and gave us a luggage tag for each of our bags. (They only gave us one per person, and I had two bags, so when I went to the check-in counter they printed me up another one for my second bag.) Then you just get on the Magical Express, they take your bags to the airport and check them in for you, and ta-da! Then they're magically at the baggage claim when you land! I was a little nervous that they weren't on my ME bus with me to go to the airport, but all of our bags made it. So no complaints from me! I'm glad they're finally adding Southwest!

| Re: Southwest Airlines & Luggage???? I LUV Southwest even though they don't service any of the hotels I stay in. I sent them an email regarding expanding the service to all the hotels. Their reply was that it's still a test and there are no plans for the future:< A girl can dream though:> |

| Re: Southwest Airlines & Luggage???? FYI - if anyone has traveled recently - you may have noticed there are more than just the POP now - you can also use all 3 All-Star Resorts for luggage checkin if you are traveling on Southwest! G'luck! |

| Re: Southwest Airlines & Luggage???? Does anyone know if Southwest has expanded to the moderate resorts yet? Our friends are going down in June staying at POR and using DME to and from their resort. If Southwest hasn't expanded do they just get their luggage themselves and take it over to the Disney Magic Express bus? |

| Re: Southwest Airlines & Luggage???? Yes...if the airline does not allow you to check bags at the resort then you just take them with you when you go to the DME bus that day. They will take it from there. |

To the resort, no they do not need to pick up thier luggage. DME to your resort is run by "Disney" and they will pick up luggage from ALL airlines. From the resort, they will need to take their luggage to the bus. If thier plane is late in the day they can leave the luggage with bell services and pick it up to take the bus when it's time. | |
