Bus is starting to sound a little better again.
Even though Im the pampered princess on the boards and only stay at the deluxe resorts and only really need the bus for two parks I say go with the bus. The buses have to leave way earlier for the simple fact all four park offer some type of charcter meal or in the case of MK a tour were it requires you to be in the park before it actually opens to anyone. So I say go take the bus.
You just knocked me right off of my seat. I can't believe the Pampered Princess said "take the bus." I mean, surely a limo can get you there sooner, and a couple of hundred dollar bills waved in the right direction should open the turnstiles. Don't you think Jerrame?
Chances are you won't be the first hundred unless you leave really early by car. The bus will stop at all the All-Stars, with Sports being the first one they pick up so that will kill a good 10-15 minutes right there. The problem with driving yourself is you'll have to deal with the TTC, so go really early. If it was that important to me I'd probably go an hour to an hour and a half early.
I just want to be the first to get on some of the big attractions in the back of the parks.
I agree.
When we went for our Keys to the Kingdom and Segway around the World tours, there were not 100 people there yet.
I do remember, however, the boat from the TTA had not arrived yet. (It was still across the lagoon. Not sure how full it was or wasn't.)
Have fun! :sun:
Disney has systems in place in all its parks to keep people from getting somewhere too early. For example, first they let you through the turnstiles but not the gates. They have a little 'opening ceremony' and then let you on to Main Street, but at the end of Main Street there are CM's with ropes keeping you out of Tomorrowland, etc. Then they'll either drop the ropes and let you sprint, or as I found at Animal Kingdom trying to get to Everest, they will hold the rope and walk slowly towards the mountain, making sure no one runs and gets hurt. At AK it is even timed so that there is no real advantage to going through DinoLand vs. going through Asia to get to Everest - the CM's watch each other and pace it so they get to the same place at the same time.
Also, if you're going to try to be in the first group in on an Extra Magic Hour morning, make sure the attractions you want to go on are open! On EMH mornings at MK, Frontierland and Adventureland aren't even open at all (no Big Thunder, no Splash Mt., no Haunted Mansion....) until the regular park opening time. You can find the attractions open here: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw...MagicHoursPage
