Ultimate Park "Hopper"
Here comes the cold weather. Today was going to be a cool and windy with a high of only 64. The DD and DSIL wanted to take the DGS to Sea World as he really loves the fish and other animals. We got there about 10 AM and it was pretty nice. Took in a couple of shows and looked at all the animal displays. Had lunch at the Budweiser Hospitality place (DSIL loves all the free beer) and then over to see Shamu show. By 1 PM the wind was howling and wind chill must have been in the 40s, and it got very cloudy and looked like it was going to rain. The Shamu show was pretty lame. The tricks the whales did could be done in 5 minutes instead of the 30 they spend on the show. IMHO, the Shamu show used to be better. Too many high tech visuals and the environmental messages are a little much considering they are holding captive 6-8 ton whales in tiny pools. Also, could not figure out what Shamu and Bud has to do with the war against terrorism. A bit too much hucksterism for me. Off of soap box. Left SW and headed home for DGS' nap.
We had priority seating for Fulton's Crab House at 4:30 (only time available). The food was OK. However, we got grrreat service from Steven (call me Steve). He gave the DGS several packages of oyster crackers so he could feed to the ducks and swans outside. He also let the DW and DD order their steak from the kids' menu, but the tab was still over $200. Thank goodness the DSIL was paying.
After dinner we went shopping at World of Disney and Once Upon a Toy and dropped another $50 on toys for the DGS. Another magical day in Florida.
