Laugh Floor Comedy Club Preview

DW and I got to see LFCC today around 3:30 PM with 30 or so other guests. Just got off WEDway and were headed to Fantasyland when DW says, "Look over there!" Boy, was I happy.
LFCC is really cute, but don't know if will have any lasting power with adults. Time will tell I guess. I took some pics and was then told not to take anymore inside the show room (holds several hundred guests I would guess) by a CM. DW was put up on the screen as a "churro lover". Several other guests were picked on/made fun of and guests get to interact with the characters on screen. However, the CMs have to run around with microphones and the cameraperson was having problems finding the guests in the audience.
The queue area is huge. so I guess Disney thinks it will be a hit. The CMs that were doing the voices/jokes were pretty good, but the show is still a little rough around the edges. There were CMs all over timing, scoring guests' reactions, etc.
At this point I don't know if LFCC will be an all-day attraction as the CMs doing the voices/jokes are surely going to get tired after a few sets. Perhaps there will be several groups of CMs doing the voice work. You are supposed to text message jokes to be used during the show and be recognized in the audience, but I don't know how that is going to work in real life since you will only have a few minutes before the show starts. The two jokes that were read were on the 3rd grade level. The real-time animation is state-of-the-art a la Turtle Talk.
P.S. I miss Timekeeper.

Ya know it seems every preview report I've read on this says the same things over and over. It's making me wonder if they bit off more than they could chew on this one. It seems the theater size is going to cause issues for the show. Makes me wonder if the new Turtle Talk home is going to have similar problems.

How exactly does that work? I don't get it? They give you a phone number to text or something?
Sometimes all you need is a reminder that out there lies a better place... a better world... a Walt Disney World.

Yes, they give you a text message number in the pre-show area.

Wow, that's awfully brave of Disney... I can see some no good doers having fun with that.

I texted about 5-10 jokes but never got any picked!
Disney censor's all the jokes that are used, so there will NEVER be an inappropriate one. I liked the show. Definitely not something I'd go on everytime, but definitely time to time.
I miss Timekeeper too but it's not bad. At least it's not a "great mistake"

Yeah, they censored out my joke of:
"Why can't you take a bath with a pokemon? They might 'pikachu' ".
Guess I'm breaking out the 1001 (really lame) jokes for kids book!

I was just there last week and they used one of the two jokes I TM'd in for my 5 year old newphew... It was the only one they picked out of the audience - so that might be the level they are looking for? I thought the show was pretty funny - enough humor that adults could catch on to also.
