    At WDW Right Now

Hey everyone, I'm at WDW staying in the Contemporary right now. Unfortunately, I only got to spend one day at Epcot because I'm in meetings the rest of the time.

It's my first time at the Contemporary and I'm impressed. I've wanted to stay here for a long time because of the history but I'd only seen it from the Monorail the other trips.

I was bummed that Spaceship Earth is still closed... but... it's the Food and Wine fest at Epcot which was awesome. Had a great day. There's a Beatles cover band called the British Invasion in England in the World Showcase and I recommend catching them if you get a chance. It's a hoot. I also saw the Contours ("Do Ya' Love Me," "In the Still of the Night"), a bit before my time, but still fun to see the old guys dancing around.

The new O Canada is great, definitely recommed it as well. My favorite is still American Spirit, though, great use of multimedia and animatronics in combo.

Bummed I can't do more here. I'm such a geek, I even just rode the Monorail last night after the meetings got out just to do at least something Disney.

    Cheers,

    M

Ooooo- posting from WDW! Love that! Share more please!
At least you get to ride the monorail! The rest of us geeks are stuck listening to parade music in the car and picking up scraps from those of you who are there.
Would you mind picking up a rice krispie Mickey head and then dropping a couple of bites so I can snatch them up? Thanks!

Ha! You're too funny. I called an audible today and got out of some meetings so that I can go to MK tomorrow to see the new HM refurb. I can't wait.

You're right, the HM refurb was awesome. I went on it three times and noticed that the Ghost Host effect was better in one stretch room than another. The new Leota room effects are great. I lucked out on my last trip through and the ride shut down while I was in my favorite part, the graveyard. So, I had some extra time to enjoy the music, too.
