    Home from the Holidays!

Well, I waited around a long time for my family to come home. I had done the shopping, turned things off and packed the car. It was pretty packed!

Everyone finally got home and the fun could begin. We had to begin with a picture...you can sense the excitement- well, maybe not from the teenager. I think she didn't get something she wanted...imagine that!

Then we piled into the car. There was some...displeasure... coming from the back seat. I reminded them that a few hours of discomfort will be followed by days of fun! It worked for about....5 minutes.

We were finally on the road! We were on our way!

We were a little bit over an hour into the trip when those immortal words came from the backseat...yes... "Are we there yet?" And we heard that every 15 minutes afterwards. Luckily it was about 2 hours from the house to the restaurant so we were lucky. We ate at On The Border for some good chips and salsa! Love that! Hubby was beginning his...how much is this... I had to remind him to relax and that I was taking care of it. Not to worry. Sure. Right. Like that happened! lol

We got to the hotel and our rooms were connecting and clean. That was nice. It had a round shower(no tub) so the kids loved that! The pool was closed for refurbishment but we were already tired by this time so we just got showers and went to bed. I dreamt of bedbugs all night but there weren't any one us when we woke up at 5. I prefer the 5 in the evening if I have a choice but we wanted to get to Florida. So we headed out to the parking area and got on a shuttle. Our kids are a bit excited as you may be able to tell.

We entertained ourselves for the short time we were at the airport and then we were on our way! SO EXCITING!!!

Oh, the teenager was a joy on this trip when she wasn't being a teenager. She did have moments of being human! They all had a good time. It was an experience. We ended up with 9 checked bags, each child had a backpack, two stollers, then the stuff we parents carried. It was like moving a bunch of troops but we got it all there!

How in the world did you get everybody packed? I'm worried I am going to forget all of my own stuff- I can't imagine packing for a whole family!
This was a very good teaser, now get us to the good stuff!
