Day Five: December 24th ~ Part Two

Here are my pics from KS. Keep in mind I will not remember all the animals' names...so stay with me! This is the first time I actually took pictures while on the safari. The anti-shake really helped. My back was okay during this ride but sometimes it did get really bumpy.

The animal is is the upper right hand corner you can see the while stripes on the legs.

    Same animal as above.

Don't you just hate people that are vultures? lol

    Alligators or Crocodiles?

    Some nice waterfalls...

    An upside down tree.

    The savanna.

    I think these are giselles.

    No clue...

The warden, some zebras, and a stray animal from the pack above. (Pronounced "zebrahs". I like how they pronounce it.)

I see giraffes in the trees back there.

There's animals all the way back by the tree.

At just about this point we got stopped because an animal was in the way of the vehicle in front of us. We got stopped again in the same situation a few minutes later.

I'm pretty sure you know what that is!

    Some monkeys.

Lots of birds! (I think flamingos.)

    Some giraffes.

    A warthog. Where's Pumba?! lol

The last waterfall on the safari.

Coming Up Next: The rest of AK and maybe more.

I think the animal in the 12th picture is a wildebeest. I can't remember the name but the animal in the 1st and 2nd picture is related to the "zebrah". I too love the way the British pronounce zebra (no offense to our British friends... I'm sure you would get a kick out of some things a redneck for Mississippi might say!)

Day Five: December 24th ~ Part Three

We didn't stay at Animal Kingdom for too long after the safari. We mostly walked around and looked at the shops and I took pics. We ate at Restaurantosaurus. It was pretty good, I loved the chocolate brownie that came with the meal! It was the first time we had straws at AK. They were made out of paper. It was kinda weird drinking out of them. Anyway let's get back to the pics...

I forgot to mention that after we ate we were going to see Finding Nemo but the show already started and the next show wasn't until around 3. We had dinner reservations at the Yacht Club Gallery.

    Where there now!

They did an excellent job on the town! I liked how they made some Disney references. Like some of the restaurants are restaurants at the hotel.

After we looked at the town for a little bit we went outside.

I didn't realize we were so close to EPCOT! That's the Eiffel Tower in the France pavilion!

We had a great dinner. The pork chop was excellent! We had the best waiter during our entire trip! I would defiantly go back again!

Before we left in the morning I saw a sing that said characters will be at our hotel taking pictures in their Christmas attire. Mickey and Minnie were there! The line for them was longer than the line for Santa!

Funny story about Minnie...while someone was up there Minnie's petticoat fell down (the white frills under her dress)! A little girl came up to take her picture...Minnie got on her knees to keep it from falling down any further. So after that picture she ran off to get it fixed. The family after wanted their pic with Mic and Min but instead of holding up the line they were going to get it with Mic. All of a sudden Minnie ran put and jumped in the picture just before they took the pic! Just in the nick of time!

Here's our pictures with the famous couple:

    Day Six: December 25th

Today is Christmas day and something we learned from a trip many years ago is...don't go to the parks on Christmas day especially the Magic Kingdom! So instead we went to Downtown Disney and we're having dinner at the Yacht & Beach Club at Cape May.

The following is a few pics of our resort:

This is the new Rix Caf.

After breakfast at the Pepper Market we went to DD.

We thought that ours were big just look at those!

Lumiere in the World of Disney store.

A very beautiful and very eye-poking-out piece in the Arribas Brothers store.

After we went shopping we sat down and relaxed for a while. My DB and I got ourselves Ghirardelli ice cream and my mom and dad got a margarita. We were sitting on the water and we took in the sight and sounds.

The little devil himself...Stitch. (From where I'm sitting.)

The Lego dragon. (From where I'm sitting.)

While we were sitting down a bird came and sat on a ledge of the margarita building.

Genie was holding off the rain for us. By the time we got in the bus it started pouring.

After a long bus ride and almost being hit by a motorized scooter (long story) we made it to the Beach Club.

This time last year there was a giant wand over there.

    Gingerbread time!

So that was our Christmas. After eating a great dinner at Cape May we went home and my brother and I went swimming on one of the coldest nights we were there. At least the pool was heated.

Coming Up Next: Resort hopping, finding our stone, and a Magical Moment!

Adam, you have great camera skills. My DD reads a little of your report each day and loves looking at the pics. She really wants to go at Christmas, but I'm Not sure I can budget that.
