She Said Yes! Trip Report

We arrived at Downtown Disney at 8:30 am to meet up in one car since we were planning on eating at T-Rex later that evening. My girlfriend and my other friend exchanged 'birthday' presents at this time.

Upon entering the park, the plan was to get a group shot and then individual couple shots so as to disguise my intentions. This worked into my favor because we did wait for a little bit, and we never get our photo taken by the photopass people, so I know she would have thought something was up if it was just us waiting.

When it was finally our turn, I started making the motion go get down on one knee, until she grabbed me around the waste and pulled me back up as she was saying "I'm not letting you make fun of my height in front of all these people."

You can probably see my nerves from this picture as i'm giving a trembling smile and fumbling in my pocket. Thankfully, when the photos were taken, I said, "Now i'm really going to kneel down." That's when she gasped, took a step back and barely let me get the words "will you marry me" out of my mouth before she said yes.

I love how cute she looks in this picture, as well as the shadow of the passerby pointing at us.

Thank you. Well, I kept it together up to a point that I will get to soon. When I saw this I knew it was the best day ever! Stay tuned.

Congratulations & thanks for sharing the pictures. Its must have been so exciting to get engaged at Disney. You both look very happy! Good job.

Great report! You're a lucky guy; you've found a Disney-lover with which to spend the rest of your life. (You do know, that when you make the big announcement here, we're all expecting to be invited to the wedding?) Just kidding. Congratulations to you both!

Now that the tough part was over, we were able to relax at the park (especially me). Laura was then given the lead for what we'd do for her special day. Stop number one of course was Kilimanjaro Safari to catch the animals before they got too sluggish at midday.
