JC @ WDW 2009 Day 1
Arrived at the vacation home safe and sound around 4 PM. It was only 63 degrees. We had rain in various intensities all the way from the GA/FL border to Kissimmee. Of course, the biggest FL deluge started as soon as got off the Daniel Webster Toll Road onto US192. Not much going on at the Herzog Road area other than some site preparation. However, there was a horrible odor probably from the muck that was being disturbed. Did I mention the rain?
After unpacking we were going to the MK for dinner, but the rain was still falling at 5 PM, so we decided to go to the Walmart for food and sundry items. As soon as we got to the Osceola Walmart (hardly a parking space to be had) it stopped raining and there was a feeling it was over, so we would go back with the grocery items, etc. and head to the MK for Spectromagic and Wishes after a bite to eat. All was fine until we hit 192 and the skies opened up again. DW said no way was she going to any park in the rain, so we headed back to the house for R&R. Tomorrow it is going to be 59 and very windy, but sunny skies. The temps will be in the middle in the 30's the next couple of evenings. Yuck!!! However, that is better than back home in Indiana where it is going to be near zero again.
