JC @ WDW 2009 Day 2

Made it to the MK around 11. It was 62 and windy, so it seemed kind of chilly for Florida. Most of the CMs had winter coats and gloves on, but as to be expected some guests were wearing shorts and short sleeved shirts.

The park was not too crowded, but the wait times for the Fantasyland rides were long and longer. DW and I avoided them today, but rode my favorites--PoTC and HM with 5 minute waits. Philharmagic is closed for refurb, so we were sad. There was a group of 100 or so (mainly girls) from Mexico for a quincenera. They were dressed in pink hoodies and all had matching backpacks. Someone spent a lot of money on that.

He had lunch at Cosmic Ray's and then took in Tomorrowland. Got FPs for Buzz and took in CoP. It is looking shabby again. Big construction going on with the Stitch thing and whatever is going in where the theater used to be. The WEDway also needs some TLC as the paint is faded and peeling. They had some tarps on the side of SM by the restrooms in prep for the big refurb. The Hall of Presidents is wrapped too like City Hall was a year ago during its refurb.

On our way out I got some new Celebrate Disney Dollars. We left around 4 as the DW was getting chilled. Tomorrow is just a dream away.

Don't forget to take some pictures of the good WDW cuisine for the food thread, we all love food and especially dessert.
