did i miss the pics????? where were they?
Yes, you read it right. This will include my DL trip report from August and my WDW PRE-trip report for October.
For those of you who saw my DL pre-trip report you'll know that my goal was 2000 pictures. I'd say I estimated pretty well seeing that I ended up taking 1803 pictures.
I'll start straight away into Day 1 of California and then go into my pre-trip report.
California Day 1: This day is not too interesting. Basically just arrived at LAX where my brother picked me up. All that we really did today was drive around LA, Van Nuys, and Burbank to see the sites. And some sites we did see! In Van Nuys my brother sought out the set to The Office. We saw the "Scranton Business Park" entrance to the office building and saw the warehouse building where everything is taped. I will never ever look at the show the same again now that I've seen the place in person. It's everything that you expected, except the California palm trees in the background when the show is set in Pennsylvania
The Office is literally in the middle of a business park. I'm assuming the production company, Chandler Valley Center Studios, owns the buildings and the property. The Office complex is right next to each other. Unlike the show where they make it seem like the Warehouse is directly underneath the office, it's not. They're two separate buildings actually. Saw Meredith's van and Dwight's red car from the show parked in the parking lot.
We continued down in to Burbank where we saw 3000 W. Alameda Avenue. The NBC studio where The Jay Leno Show is taped, saw Warner Brothers and the famous WB water tower. I wondered if the Animaniacs were up in there. My brother just chuckled at that.
From there we went to Universal Studios Hollywood, the entertainment capital of LA. By this time it was past noon so we just walked around to get a feel for the place without doing any rides. We had a 3 day ticket to Universal Studios so this counted as day 1.
Day 2 to be continued...

Very cool! Can't wait to hear more. Wish when my family was out there we could have seen a bit more than we did.

Yeah my brother was very uncomfortable with getting out of the car there at The Office set. We drove by a few times down Saticoy Street so I could do pictures.
The pictures by the way are only from the first day. When I write my second day, today, I'll add the next set in.
