I am really enjoying your report so far. Love the ratings and your ability to say good and bad. Refreshing!

And I so like your wife...as we share that EO opinion. Could be why there isn't a line.

Re: Optimus Eo's Post Trip report!!!!

As was pointed out to me, I shall start my report for day 4. The day started out by us sleeping in. It was one of our so called "days off". We planned to see hotels that we haven't seen before and eat at places we have not eaten before. My wife takes a while to get ready, so I went ahead and went to the gift shop at the Carribbean Beach Resort to pick up some things we knew we wanted. I got my battery operated monorail which I have wanted to go around my Christmas tree for years, I got my wife the black one piece bathing suit that she loved, I got a T-shirt of Mickey and then it struck!!! I found two pins that i liked. Picked up all of these things and got a 10% discount for using my Disney Chase card. Sweet! Pins are addicting. I do not want to trade these because I am collecting them to put together an awesome shadow box. The two pins did not stop there. Needless to say there were many pins bought on my 10 day, 11 night stay at Disney. I went back to the hotel room to show my wife and she was very excited. We finished getting ready, ate a few nutrigrain bars and headed off to the Swan/Dolphin, Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach Club area.

Re: Optimus Eo's Post Trip report!!!!

We arrived at the Swan hotel and entered. We were not overly impressed. It looked kind of uppidy and was made specifically for large meetings and conventions. Took a few pictures and then headed towards the Dolphin. The Swan = not my thing. Want to stay there = about a 2 out of 10. The Dolphin was a little different story. I loved the huge fountain and the pyramid shaped building. The inside was still aimed towards conventions but seemed slightly more fit for my tastes. Want to stay there= 4 out of 10. I found this interesting because this is where my beloved Botcon was held, but I didn't go. We then walked over to the Boardwalk. I loved this area! I could spend a whole day there eating and shopping and dancing and walking on the Boardwalk. Very well done! We stopped for an ice cream treat and a Vitamin water using our free snack points. Want to stay there would be about an 8. Interiors were nice and reminded me a bit of the Opryland hotel. We then walked over to the Yacht and Beach club. Both were similar, but different. The slide and pool area was amazing!!!! The interiors were nice and reminded me more of the Atlantic coast than anywhere else. Overall want to stay there = 8. We then hopped a bus to Hollywood studios so we could hop a bus to The Wilderness Lodge.

Re: Optimus Eo's Post Trip report!!!!

The Wilderness Lodge is amazing. I believe it is my favorite once more. I stayed here a few months after my father died about16 years ago. We love the scenery, no where has a better lobby and it also has Whispering Canyon Cafe. We lingered around and walked out to the bike rental area and asked if there was a way to walk to the campgrounds. We had a little over an hour to waste so we started walking. It took us about 15 minutes to walk there, but it was well worth it. My wife loves camping and really wants to camp next time. We looked at the ponys and a few other parts before we had to go back. We got back about 15 minutes before our reservation. We told them we were there and they took us in about 5 minute later. Our waitress, Lucky Lori was the best cast member ever. She was very nice, very honest and very personable. She explained everything that we could get with our dining plan we had and this is where we went overboard. We got the milk shakes, all you can eat skillet and I got the homemade apple and she got the cheescake. I should of done withouth the milkshake. Way to heavy to start your meal off that way. It was good though. The skillet was amazing. The chicken was just about the best chicken my wife and I had ever put our mouths on. The pulled pork was good and so was the ribs. I wasn't a fan of the other type of pork that was on there. By the time our desert came around, I just about exploded. Apple pie and Cheescake was amazing. I tipped Lori and she came out with 2 complimentary glasses of champagne which was an awesome jester on her part. Great, great cast member. Lou, you need to go interview her! Food=A, Sevice=A overall amazing.

Re: Optimus Eo's Post Trip report!!!!

We then went to the poolside bar and picked up a drink and started walking back to the campground again. We really wanted to see the lakeside, camping areas and their shop. The campground areas were really nice and many people had decorated for Halloween. In the store my wife found her photo album, a water bottle and I bought three more pins. We really love this area, but I am more of a Wilderness lodge type guy and she is more of a camping type girl. We then walked back and stumbled across two deer just standing in the pathway. You could tell that they were use to human engagement. I got about 20 feet away before they walked off. Once we got back to the Wilderness lodge we caught 2 different buses to get us back home to the Carribbean Beach. Overall a great day and a lot of walking. We ate way to much food, but the food was awesome!
