Whats your greatest WDW moment?

Hi! Just wanted to see what everyone's greatest moment you ever had at WDW.
Mine was when i went to WDW for the first time. I was 17(yes i was a late one...lol)with my Dad....it was so much fun just me and him riding all the rides, and all the fun things to do.....its one of my most cherished memories i have, and i get to do it again when i take my daughter,(who is 2 and loves DISNEY,see bringing her up right....lol) to WDW for the first time later this year!!!....cant wait to read about your greatest memories!

Mine was definently being (for all intents and purposes) alone in MK with my friend (so what if there were about 40 other people, all on Space Mountain?). We hot BTMR twice, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and Buzz alone!

Second is when Goofy rode with my sister on the Barnstormer on her first visit!

I remember about 5 years back I went to MK with an ex and her mom. Her mom was saying before the park that they do great stuff for christmas (duh, oh ya, it was Dec). She talked of her passion for poinsettas and I didn't have a crush on her or anything (though she was smoke'n!) but I'll never forget the sight I saw through my camera as she posed for a picture amongst thousands and thousands of poinsettas around Main Street. It was a silent magical moment that I've never shared, and will never forget.

I went to Epcot last Dec with a gal and she wanted to tour WorldShowcase. Being the expert tour guide that I am, I had us in front of the Mexican pavillion at around 6 pm, which was way too late to take in WS completely. Not to mention the sky was starting to get cloudy. She didn't care, and wanted me to show her like I promised. Less than an hour of barely looking at anything, yup, it started raining. The sky opened up around the American Adventure, which kinda worked out for me silently as we watched AA's christmas carrolers. I love Christmas music and they must of had at least a hundred people singing, all on a stage in the shape of a tree.

Well we sloshed along and by the time we reached Canada, I could see the extreme disappointment in her face and wanted to jump into the lagoon and swim away. Instead, I ordered beer ( :thumbs: eeyyy) from a small nearby stand. She eventually joined me and I'll tell you, I've never seen such a 180 in my life (in both are attitudes)! After our pit stop under our umbrella, nothing else mattered except the fact, that we were together again, and completely tanked. To the extent of posing in bushses with snowflakes, right down to getting front car monorail service to MK, and cracking up the driver the entire way.

It's in a haze now, but I remember her posing for pics with Walt and Mickey on the "Partners" statue and I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... you're not allowed to touch it! She was completely amused at how serious I was. And I was.

Ahhhh good times... great gals.... beer...

This is a hard one because I have made so many trips to WDW and have so many great memories of growing up and spending time there with my Grandparents. But if I had to choose one greatest moment it would be the first time we took our oldest DS. With obsessed Disney parents, at the age of 2 he already knew most Disney movies, characters and music...and when he first stepped onto Main Street he started dancing. It is a vision and a moment that I will never forget as long as I live! :cry:

I am hoping for a new greatest moment during our upcoming trip starting June 19th! We will be celebrating his 5th birthday and taking our newest addition DS, 8 months for the first time!!!!

My favorite Disney moment actually happened before we entered the park. We (my parents and I) were determined that we were going to take my niece to Disney for her first time - not her step-grandparents!!!
Well, she had a 3-day weekend in her school schedule. So we picked her up after school got out, and headed south. We told her that we were going to Savannah, GA for the weekend. By the time we checked into the hotel, she was asleep.
The next morning, we were up early. Everyone got dressed and I told her to put on her tennis shoes, we were gonna walk all around Savannah today and see some of the pirate ships, graveyards and haunted houses.
Instead, we drove into Disney property. When she saw the big Mickey Mouse welcoming us to Disney World she started screaming!! "You tricked me!!! You tricked me!!" "But it was a good trick, wasn't it?"
We were the first family into the park that day, and one of the last ones out. I did learn not to wear my Joe's Crab Shack t-shirt that says "Bite Me" on the front of it - they almost wouldn't let me in the park! I did get bit by Minnie later that day - so it was funny.
She rode her first roller coaster - BTMRR and had a blast. Rode Space Mtn in the first seat of the first car and the bumpiest ride of the day were the little cars you drive around the track (forgot the name).
All in all, it is still a story that I share with everyone. Just finished her scrapbook for that trip (2003) and have more to do now!!!

Every moment in Disney is my greatest.....

My fav memory is when I took my older daughter(now 19) to the MK on her 6th bday...

We went to see Mickey in his dressing room(they only took a few families at a time) when it was her turn for pics I told the Mouse that today was her bday and he started waving his arms around like he was expecting something of us...neither the CM escort nor the others could figure out what he was trying to do....Finally it hit me-he wanted us to sing Happy Birthday to her....I said that and Mickey got excited that we figured it out(he prob thot we were stupid for not doing it sooner..lol)
When we sang it was very cool that the other family that came in at the same time as us sang along too considering they didn't speak English .....I started tearing up and could hardly take a picture
Unfortunatly she doesnt remeber and I no longer have any photos of that trip...but I still remember and it is my most cherished moment of any trip I have taken so far

I can't decide between 2-one was the second time i went and i knew then how special Disney was as i heard a mum telling her kid who was crying 'Crying??? In Disney???' Like it was not allowed in Disney!

The second funniest memory was when we were in the Christmas shop in MGM and a lady came in and looked at the giant Christmas tree and announced 'Is this the Christmas shop??' My family and i laughed for the rest of the holiday and now whenever we go into that shop.:lol:

It would probably be when I rode the Jungle Cruise at night a few years ago. We were led by the greatest skipper I've ever had the pleasure of listening to, and there was about seven people in total on the boat. Almost every person got a comment twice or three times from the skip. At one point, not too far from the Cambodian temple, the skipper stopped speaking and turned off the boat lights, and we were practically drifting through the water, listening to the jungle sound effects. Good times, good times.

A few years back when, after I had gone to Disney about 5x prior, my whole family went, I guess they got tired of me talking about it so much that I managed to get them all there. Mom, Dad 2 sisters, bother-in-law Great Aunt and Grandmother (Nan). And me of course. It was great having the whole family there, and it was for some of them, there first time there. So it was great just seeing there expressions and reactions. But after being around each other for a few days we needed a break from each other. So we all went our own way one day, and the funny thing is that as big as Disney is and with all 4 parks to choose from, didn't we all wind up together at MK in front of the castle, watching the show. I just happened to look over and see my sister and brother-in-law on one side and in front of them was Aunt and Nan and on the other side to my right was my mom and dad. So much for staying apart that day. LOL!

My favorite Disney memory is of my husband on our honeymoon (his first trip). We had reservations for the Luau at the Polynesian, but were running a little early so we popped into the MK for a few minutes. We were riding the People Mover and just as we got off Tinkerbell began her flight. The look on his face was priceless. "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! Did you see that?!?" I had planned on saving the fireworks for our last night there and had forgotten about the early closing that night. For the rest of the week he kept asking, "When are we going to see Tinkerbell again?." A few years later when I found a baby kitten in the alley (eyes barely open) and adopted it, Mr. iwannabeminnie named her...............Tinkerbell.

Yes, and Pocahontas ever since the AK opened. "When are we going to see Pocahontas?" ALL the time!

You can tease him and tell him that MJ got a private meet and greet with Pocahontas and got Tink's sig in her new autograph album! (both are true!)
