Veri's Pre-Trip Report

[Veritas]

OK in 17 days the Better Half and I visit mickey.

The Plan so far:

02MAY: Hop JetBlu direct flight from Syracuse to Orlando, Magical Express to Saratoga Springs Resort. Hop the Bus to MK. Start as always with the Haunted Mansion and wing it form there. ADR for dinner at Artist Point over at Wilderness Lodge (love that place)

03MAY: An MK morning, ADR for lunch at Crystal Palace. Back to SSR for a nap and then Some EPCOT time. ADR for dinner at Bistro de Paris. Never eaten there before, looking forward ot a new experience.


04MAY: Discovery Cove never been there so this will be a whole new experience. Probably spend late afternoon at SeaWorld

05MAY: DAK in the AM Gotta get my time in on Dinosaur and Primeval Whirl! ADR for lunch at Yak & Yeti. an afternoon break back at SSR and them some DHS time (morally obligated to go on Tower of Terror!). ADR for dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse (another place we've never tried before)

06MAY: breakfast at Kouzzina, last run through DHA (one more Tower of Terror) some redos at EPCOT and then say good bye to Mickey, ME back to Orlando and fly back to Syracuse.

Discovery Cove is AWESOME!!

You will enjoy it so much! From the lazy river, to the fish, to swimming with the dolphins which is something you will never forget!! The aviary is spectacular! The food is delicious!!

You Disney plans sound great! Sounds like a little bit of time in each park and some great meals!! Have a great time and we look forward to your trip report!

FYI-Primeval Whirl is still shut down after CM died during rehab. Opening pushed back to at least June 1st.

Ya, sadly this is the second CM to be struck by a ride vehicle, this one was while it was down for maintenance.

Kinda shows ya that Disney purchased a amusement park ride vs imagineering building an attraction.

Sad but true. They did an off the shelf and through a layer of theming on it. The Disney "grown" attractions usually are betterit would beinteresting to see the safety records of Disney designed and off the shelf attractions.

OK the Disney Spirirt over whelemd the Better half and me, so we added some days to our vacation. And a cshout out tot he nice DVC advisors who jumped through hoops to keep connect the two stays. We ended up on the wait list for one night the 7th and might have to pay cash for that night, other wise the 6th and 8th we got in on points.

We still arrive Monday 02MAY but now are departing Monday 09MAY

02-05MAY no changes

06MAY: stick around instead of leaving

07MAY: wing it

08MAY: wing it

09MAY: Taking a 520PM out of Orlando letting us do the usual last day do overs and impulse shopping

That's great that you were able to add days. I love long Disney vacations because you can do everything that you want but you don't need to rush. Have a great time.

Sounds like so much fun! Wish I were going! There is a reading conference around that time but there isn't any way I could go.
