Woot!! Have a great time Sarah!! I love it there during the holidays. Must sees? Wow... everything? LOL!
Well, next week I will officially be booking my stay at Pop Century for December 7-11, 2011.
I am beyond excited! I am going with my best friend again. We have bother wanted to go at Christmas time and feel like now is the perfect opportunity since neither of us are married and are jobs allows to (at the moment!)
We are hoping to do the MVMCP, The Osbourne Lights, and the Candelight processional!
I will be buying an annual pass since I am going to Disney again in June 2012. It will save me money that way.
We haven't decided where we want to eat yet. We know at least one meal will be in Epcot since we are going to do the Candlelight Processional dining meal. I am excited for the list of readers to come out so I can see who we are going to see! I am hoping for Mario Lopez or Steven Curtis Chapman.
I've never been at christmastime, so are there any MUST SEES?
I'm also going down the same time as the AllEars Meet. I might try and do some stuff with them, but since I'm not too active on the AllEars site I am not sure if I want to or not!

Sometimes all you need is a reminder that out there lies a better place... a better world... a Walt Disney World.

My favorite thing to do in December is to visit many of the resorts to view all the decorations. The Grand Floridian is wonderful along with Wilderness Lodge. Yacht and Beach Club also have great decorations.
You will have a great time.
See ya,
Melissa

disneymaniac87,
I am also booking my December trip next week! We are going December 4-10 and staying at POFQ, in one of the new rooms! I am guessing by your screen name that your my age since I was born in 87 as well.. I think a lot of adults without kids go during the first week or two in December since everyone else is still in school!!
I was weary about going in December at first because I wasn't sure if it would still be semi warm and if I could still get a tan?!? I also heard that 1 water park usually closes in Dec for refurb and there are more rides that close as well. Can anyone clarify these things, please!!!
I haven't heard about any ride closings in December since Christmas time is a prime time to go. I have heard about closings in January and February though!
We most likely are the same age. I was born in 87. I am hoping there aren't a lot of people there when I go. I've never been at a non-crowded time. I am excited to go at quieter time.
Thanks to everyone for their help! I am hoping to see Grand Floridian the first night we're there. We might make it a meal so we have a reason to go. We're not sure yet! We are definitely seeing all the resorts on the monorail loop!
I'll be there then too.....I go every Dec, love all the decoration....xmas party to me is a waste of money but I have been before. Osbourne lights at the studios is nice. Epcot didn't have as many lights last year but Illuminations is one of my favorites.
One of the water parks will be closed and for me it is often too cold to swim anyways in Dec....also not a big waterpark fan so doesn't matter to me
the resorts on the monorail are fun to check out for decorations also Wilderness lodge if you make it over there and Yacht and Beach club.I hope to be at some of the allears meets I amm planning on staying off property at a friends and renting a car Nov 30th or Dec 1st ish to Dec 12th ish
I vote for LeCellier at Epcot if you can get in
Yak and Yeti or Tusker house at AK are good
50's Primetime is a good time at the studios...also less popular it seems is Mama Melrose, great food though
I like the Plaza at MK ...but if you want to see characters Crystal Palace
Flying Fish on the Boardwalk is great....not just fish
I will probably do mostly counterservice this year though saves time and money
i'm just going to have to just wait one year and go in dec.. so i can meet everyone and see all the sights.. i just really love the fall though

Alrighty-- Some changes were made for my trip!
We are going December 8-12 instead because airfare was about $50 cheaper! I can take that $50 and have a meal or buy some more souvenirs! We've decided to eat at Le Cellier for Lunch to do the Candelight Processional plan so we are guaranteed seats. We are also doing Brown Derby for lunch.
I am getting into the parks around 1 on the 8th. I am excited to meet up with some people and have some time in the parks by myself! I am not sure where I'll go!!
I have where I'm going every day Friday-Monday already planned but I don't have my chart that tells me. I know we're doing the MVMCP on Friday.
If you're going down that weekend and are going to be there during the day on the 8th and would like to hang out.. let me know! I'd love to meet up with some people!
I am also hoping the Lou does a Meet of the Month this weekend. I'd love to finally be able to meet him and meet up with all of them![]()
I think you will really enjoy seeing the parks during the holiday season, but it has become quite a popular time to visit. No doubt all of those Travel Channel specials produced over the past several years really boosted the attendance during this period!
Take advantage of the ADRs, because you will need them. Have fun!
