Another early start saw us at Animal Kingdom for park opening, there were already a few people waiting at the turnstiles so we used the Rainforest Cafe entrance where no-one was waiting
At opening time we were let into the park just before the main turnstiles, we watched Mickey and the gang open the park and headed for Kilimanjaro safari, we got a couple of fastpasses and then joined the stand-by line.
We had a fantastic Safari, there were loads of animals active and our driver did keep stopping when there was chance for a good photo:
Once off we had a walk round the Pangani Forest trail then used our fastpass for Kilimanjaro Safari, rode Everest and then made our way to the Rainforest Cafe for our lunch ADR.
We shared the awesome appetizer adventure:
Kerrie had the Beef barbeque wrap:
And I had the blue mountain chicken sandwich:
Full lol:
We really enjoyed the meal although we never finished the appetizer and couldn't manage all of the entrees lol
To walk off lunch we spent time enjoying this lovely park, watched Festival of the Lion King twice.
Then time for the Jammin Jungle Parade which we love and is always easy to find a great spot to watch:
We took a trip back to Sports and freshened up, left the car and took the bus to Epcot, spent a bit of time looking round World Showcase and then made our way to the Rose and Crown for our dinner ADR.
We couldn't manage appetizers or desserts so just had entree's.
Kerrie had a Sunday lunch:
And I had fish and chips:
After dinner we made our way to France to meet John from Owners Locker for a drink. We also met Matt & Tracy and their lovely little girl Chloe and Glenn & Lorie.
John left just before the start of Illuminations so we all stayed to enjoy the show together:
After Illuminations we stayed for a while chatting to Matt, Tracy & Chloe and arranged to meet at the Top of the World Lounge the following week.
We ended up on one of the last busses that was stopping at various hotels to drop off us late leavers lol, the time had just flown by but we had a great day meeting new friends

Sadly on our return home we found out that Glenn & Lorie were both killed in a Tornado when they returned home from their trip Glenn Holland, 59, and Lorie Holland, 48 | Disney fans had good life - KansasCity.comR.I.P

We're hitting Rainforest at AK for dinner on our trip and now you got me making a note on that appetizer! Mmmmmm!
I had heard about the sadness of losing one of our own (Disney Fans) in the tornado. My mother was also friends with them both. So sad. May they rest in peace with Mickey Ear hats forever!
Sometimes all you need is a reminder that out there lies a better place... a better world... a Walt Disney World.

Great photos; terrible news on the couple in the tornado.
