July 2011 Trip Report Part 1 of 4...Days 1-3: Arrival and Immersion into the parks

Wow, the first 10 pages of photos are great. Really great.

Wahoo! I just love trip reports and when they have as many photos as yours, it's even better! You are making me sooo excited for our upcoming trip. It looks like it was pretty slow at Epcot when you were there huh? How was Fantasyland with the encroaching walls? Did you feel like you were in a bottleneck the whole time?

Yea, I followed the Touring Plans crowd calendar, and it was pretty accurate most of the time. Epcot had like a 3.5 the first day we were there so there we went. It was not crowded at all there. As for Fantasyland's encroaching walls...if you pass through the area by the Mad Tea Party at the wrong time, as it's a one lane walkway to get to Fantasyland from Tomorrowland...yea, have fun...that's all I'm going to say. At the wrong time, you will be moving literally slower than a snail's pace. First thing in the morning wasn't all that bad...the FP for Winnie the Pooh is actually all the way over by Mickey's Phillharmagic...so people get confused and crowd the area by Winnie the Pooh...where Fantasyland becomes the tightest. There's some major construction going on out in the distance to say the least.

Great report. I heard you call in at the end of one of Lou's recent shows. Good luck as you return to NC State. I worked there for 3 years back in the mid 90's.
