TRIP CHAPTER 2:


We pull up at Animal Kingdom Lodge and stop at the guard gate. I hand over my ID with “We’re checking in and would like to pet a giraffe.” Mr. Personality just checks my name and ignores my comments. We park and grab our luggage. Before we can get into the building, we meet up with a cast member standing outside, who greets us, walks us in, takes my ID and seats us in the lobby, and goes off to get our keys!!! And our room was ready! They must have known the Celebrity was coming…

We head upstairs to get cleaned up – I’ve been in the car for 22 hours! We have a one-bedroom in Jambo House. We are both blown away at the room – seeing pictures just doesn’t prepare you for the real thing – I’m so sad that we’re only here one night – I could spend weeks here!






























Our view is not good, but we really don’t care.



I’m not sure how clean Brandie will get like this…

We have lots of QT's in St Louis. They do have the best fountain drinks. Can't wait to hear the rest!

AKV are still my favorite. Granted we haven't done half the DVC resorts yet (BLT, OKW, SSR) but I keep coming back to how much I love the rooms and the resort.

TRIP CHAPTER 3:

And the living room/kitchen:











At this point, Tonya texts, asking where we are. We contact them back, saying we’re on the way and STARVING! We drive over to the TTC and get in line for the ferry. The cast member at the entrance has a bubble machine going – glad we weren’t back any further – those people were getting pelted with bubbles!





Before we can get into the Magic Kingdom, Brandie needs to buy herself an Annual Pass and I need to renew mine. We are greeted by the longest line for Guest Services I’ve ever seen!



45 minutes later – good gravy! - APs in hand, we head through the turnstiles.

It was the longest line at MK Guest Relations I have EVER seen!!! I got off the bus and was walking up to security thinking "DURN!!! That line is long!!" (My thoughts aren't always things that will win me a Pulitzer. What can I say?) I was unaware that Jaime and Brandie were in that line until I found the rest of the Fearsome Foursome (which is what I dubbed Kelly, Deb, Kathy, and me at TGIFridays the night before) waiting for us at City Hall.

After about a half hour of waiting, I went on a recon mission back under the Tunnel to spy where Jaime and Brandie were in line. I finally spotted Brandie's Ears about 20 people back in line. Durn that line was long. And, I was hungry by now!!!

Indeed! Jaime is taking trips faster than she can report them. Shame! Is this Jaime's first AP? Doesn't seem she can manage an AP and her trip reporting responsibilities.
