So cool! Wonder if I'll be able to eat with the Princesses on my 23rd birthday... That's not too old, right?
Love it! You've got me really wanting to book myself a meal at CRT now. I love the look on Kay's face in the pic of you guys with Cindy...she looks pure giddy! So cute

OK, I know I am soo behind in my trip report...so I promise to work really hard this next week to finish it up!!! Especially since I have 2 pre-trip reports to start soon!!!
Ok...now...on with the show!!!
Ok, I do have some more to finish up with August 18th, birthday day, but I am going to jump forward to the next day August 19th, our Epcot day!!
Friday, August 19, 2011 Epcot and ADR at Akershus
So, bright and early Friday morning we awoke and headed out to Epcot, which I was looking forward to so much for a few different reasons!! I love Epcot about as much as Magic Kingdom and I had the day pretty planned out enough, or so i thought. This was the 1st day that my plans went a little aray and we ended up missing out on a whole lot of stuff!!
This may be picture heavy for a while, and slightly out of order as some of my pictures are not on my photbucket yet. Pics that are missing will be added in soon!
When we arrived, the 1st thing we did was head over to the Land pavilion so I could FastPass Soarin' for later in the day with a special friend! We did ride Living with the Land and then headed over to The Seas with Nemo and Friends, and then over to Imagination!
I want to get this picture to put up on my wall!!
This new area just isn't the same
Can you tell I LOVE Imagination and Figment?!
Almost went in the Duffy store...but managed to steer Kay away (had a surprise for her at the room!)
Someone wasn't in a good mood at this time!
Continued in next post...Princess lunch in Norway!
(found the pictures from the other camera!)
After we left the resturant, I met up with my great friend, Amy Falk Petermann!!!! I was so excited to meet her and spend a couple hours with her!!!
We took a ride all together in Mexico on the Gran Fiesta Tour, and then parted ways from my mom and Kay to have a few hours to get to know each other more. This was a little tricky to do, because Kay loved Amy, as she loved Kacie, and didn't understand why we weren't gonna hang out! Plus Kay was getting tired and my mom was gonna take her back to ASMov to try to relax some. (This is kinda were the plans started not working out...they actually ended up staying in the park and doing a few things, which I will post pics of that, since I don't really have too much of me and Amy since my camera batteries were getting low)
While Kay and my mom were having fun meeting Duffy and cooling off in the water, me and Amy made our way out of World Showcase and back to Future World. We stopped at the Fountain of Nations and Amy took a picture of us. This picture I forgot where we took it, somewhere walking to The Land!
(**have to fix this**)
We got to The Land and made our way down to Soarin to use the FP I had gotten earlier in the day. She did ask if I was gonna come back with my mom and Kay, and I told her I wanted to, and I meant to get some more FP, but they were all out when we got off the ride!! (another plan nixed...3 now?) We chatted while waiting, short wait, maybe 10-15 minutes, getting to know each other more and enjoying finally hanging out!! Amy is a very sweet person and I am proud to know her and call her my friend. I have followed her blog since the beginning of the year and it has inspired me to want to follow my dream and move down to Florida with Kayla one day! We talked about what has been going on in my life and my dreams and she told me something that I hold dear to my heart, and that was just to follow my dream and work towards it, it may take a little longer than I want, but it will happen!
After Soarin, we took a ride on Living with the Land, and Nemo! We then had to part ways because she had to go and I was supposed to meet up with mom and Kay back at ASMov (or so I thought). So we parted ways at the park entrance with a hug and a great afternoon in our memory!!
I called my mom and found out her and Kay never made it back to the resort, but instead they were over by Nemo. So I told her I would be on my way over there, just had to stop and get a new memory card in the store on my way over.
Coming up next...memory card purchase and rain!!!

OK, gonna try to work on this tonight and tomorrow since I have some free time. I apologize for being sooo behind on this...been dealing with a lot of things in the real world!!
So, when we left off, I had just left Amy and was headed back to the Living Seas to meet up with my mom and Kayla. As I walked around Spaceship Earth, I ducked into a few shops and was looking for a memory card, since mine was almost full!! I found one for $20 and bought it. Didn't open it up til I met back up with Mom and Kay, and found out that it didn't work in my camera!! I couldn't figure out why, so I stopped at the shop at the exit of the pavilion, and asked the CM there. I was told that since it was already opened, even though I had the package and reciept, that they needed a managers approval since it was a memory card. This ordeal turned into 25 minutes of unneccesary waiting. I understand there are ways returns/refunds have to be handled, I worked over 10 years in retail/customer service myself. They tried to contact the manager by phone, and no answer. Then another one, no answer. Then on the radio, no answer. Finally I was ready to go back to where I purchased it and they finally got a call back and said it was ok to reund since they didn't have the kind I needed. So, I got a refund and they did apologize, but I felt that waiting that long was not right.
We wandered down the path and ended up back at Imagination store, i figured I would check in there for another card. I found one and the guy explained to me why the other one didnt work. Something about the differences in the type of card it is and HD. Sorry I forget actual details. But this CM was so much more helpful than the other ones were.
So, I felt a lot better and was able to continue on taking pictures the rest of the day (and trip!) Arent you guys happy??
I actually don't have too many more pictures from tonight that I can find right now.
I know after I bought the new card, we wandered outside to the jumping fountains and they were not working! I was very upset cause this was something I was looking forward to introducing Kay too!
We decided to try to wander around to the other side of the park to try out Test Track and Ellen. During the walk, it started to rain so we took some refuge in Club Cool!! (Insert evil grin here!) Just what I was waiting for too...introduce Kay to Beverly!!
**Insert pictures when find them
Kay actually ended up liking Beverly, which me and my mom laughed about, as well as a CM who was cleaning up! I asked Kay if she liked Beverly better or the watermelon or apple one...and she said Beverly. I better check again to make sure she has my DNA in her! LOL I apologize for not having some pictures right now...I have to dig through my photobucket again!
The rain let up for a while, so we walked down to TT and were happy to see the standby line was only about 20 minutes. Mom can't ride cause of her heart condition, so she waited outside for us. So, me and Kay went through the queue and got right to the pre-loading area, when the CM announced that "due to weather conditions, the ride is temporarily suspended". So, I decided we would wait a little while and see what happens. However, Kay was getting anxious and fidgity, keep in mind she had not had a nap yet, so we decided to duck out the side exit. The CM gave us some FP to come back, but we never made use of them the way our night played out.
So we met up with my mom and decided to take a ride on Ellen. We walked all the way there and I kinda figured something was up because NO ONE was around. We got to the entrance and the CM told us the ride was closed. I looked at the time....dang!! 7pm closed...it was 7:10pm!!
2 rides I really wanted to do...missed out on! And I was not gonna take her on Mission Space, even the easy one...I don't think she was ready for that. I did it back a few months after it opened before you had 2 choices...and remember being queasy. I decided maybe next time.
So...since it was getting late and we all were tired and wet we sat down outside MouseGears to decide if we wanted to wait around and catch Illuminations. My mom had gotten some cappacino and scone so she munched on that while Kay snuggled up to me and ended up falling asleep!!
I was soo upset. I was looking forward to our Epcot day so much to do and see all this great stuff and rides and nothing ended up working out. We saw nothing of World Showcase except a bit of Norway and Mexico! I sat there on the bench and cried some cause I was so upset. So glad these benches were the ones so far back cause I didn't want to be around anyone. Plus my feet were killing me, my sandals I had on that day were on the verge of falling apart. So, after a few minutes of getting myself together, I decided to pop inside the shop to see if I could find any of the Mickey Crocs I had seen earlier.
I have to say, that store is INCREDIBLE! I got lost so many times!! I did find the Crocs and bought those, along with a couple Vinaylmations and the window clings for the car window. I debated getting Kay some Mouseears made, but figured would wait. (another bad decision)
So, I went back to my mom and Kay and tried waking up Kay so we could leave. Trying to wake up a very overtired now 5 year old...not very easy! But, she did get up and we walked towards the park exit. We decided to take a ride on Spaceship Earth...I figured I needed us to do something together that was a major ride of Epcot! So, at first, Kay didn't know what to think about it, but she ended up liking it pretty much. Especially the pictures you take at the end.
**ADD pictures here**
So we decided to leave and head back to ASMov...we all were really tired...and hungry!!
We bid farewell to Epcot and I promised Kay we would probably not come back to this park this trip, but definatly the next time we would spend more time. She really liked it and especially liked making the Duffys on a stick at the KidCot...even if she only did one at Mexcio. So, I cant wait to spend more time in Epcot on our next trip!!
"Where's Perry?", Hollywood and Vine & the adventures in DHS
I'm gonna make this post photo heavy and then add in some text in the next post or this one when I can. Plus my photobucket is way outta order, so I gotta sort through them. Sorry!! I'll try to keep this is semi-order of the days events!
Happy to see you found some time to post some more! Sorry to hear your Epcot day didn't turn out quite as planned, but so glad that you earned yourself a surprise trip back to WDW when you will have the chance to do it all again Looking forward to more
Kayla has such gorgeous coloring...I wish my skin looked like I sport a tan year round.

Subscribing so I can read everything about your trip! Loving it so far, your photos are making me feel like I'm there with you! I know EXACTLY how it feels to not have a WDW day work out, my last Disney vacation had several of those since my 2 year old ended up sick with Roseola. So I missed quite a bit. But I love how you have been able to see the bright side and still have a great time, can't wait to read more!!
