    Jenn's Rainy Trip - Day 5

    Miss Day 4?

We got to Epcot a little after it opened. We parked and walked in since we were so darn close (no need for the tram). Note that for later...

Of course the first thing we had to hit was SSE.

Unfortunately the post-show kiosks where you can send yourself your video weren't working (they appeared to be but they couldn't find our pictures) so this is the best I have of our silly faces:

After SSE, me, Tim, Brytt and Aaron caught the Fountain of Nations show while Bill ran to FP Soarin'.

Then we headed to Test Track. Alas... I didn't get lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the new car.

After Test Track and a quick snack and drink (another hot one) we decided to head into Mouse Gears to look around (and grab the obligatory shot of the Dreamfinder reference).

Then it was time to head over to Soarin'! Aaron was doing his "I'm scared" thing but he wasn't fighting us. He loved every second of it (as usual) and was even helping mommy kick the people we flew over. This was Brytt's first time and we were thrilled to have gotten the first row so we all had a clear view (sans dangling feet).

After Soarin' we headed over to catch a quick ride Living with the Land.

    Smoke Break time!

On the last trip, we didn't do World Showcase at all so we decided to head over and do it at this point because Future World was open until midnight (EMH). First stop, Mexico and the Gran Fiesta Tour.

    Next up, Norway and Maelstrom.

    Epcot Duck (another smoke break).

And then what happened as we rounded the corner toward the America pavillion? The skies opened up and it rained rained rained. It's ok though... we were there just in time to see a performance of the Voices of Liberty and then head in for the 3:00 show!

After the show, we continued to make our way around World Showcase, making a stop in Japan to watch the drummers.

    Smoke break!

    On to Imagination...

Aaron had been talking for days about how he wanted to play in the jumping fountains. Unfortunately at this point his meds had started to wear off, I had forgotten to bring his second dose, and Bill's patience too was wearing off. Still, he had some time to play in the fountains before dinner so we let him.

Then it was time to head to our reservation at the Garden Grill. As always, this is one of our favorite meals. The food was yummy and for the first time, we had Mahi Mahi as the fish entree. Yet again, no food pictures sorry!

After dinner we decided to head over to the Seas to hit Nemo and let Aaron run off some of his "I had to sit still for dinner" energy.

After the Seas, we wandered a bit and then decided to head over to Mission Space. Tim and Brytt wanted to do Orange and we really had no interest (not even in doing Green this time) so, Aaron ran around outside with the planets for awhile while they got in line.

When they were done, it was about 8:30. We had planned to do Illuminations and then stay and redo parts of Future World since it was EMH but we were all exhausted. We decided to instead go back to the resort, chill out and get some rest. On the way out we had to hit Aaron's favorite spot... the lights in the cement outside Innoventions...

Then it was time for one last ride on SSE. The post-show kiosks once again couldn't find anyone's photos but a spot was open at the driver game so Bill hopped on, and then Aaron after him. All in all it was a nice way to end the day.

Now for the not-so-nice part... we walked out to the parking lot and stood there suddenly realizing we had no idea where we parked. We normally pay attention as we board a tram but we were so close that we had decided to walk... and in turn totally forgot. I was pretty sure we were just beyond the first tree line on the left as you exit so we headed there. We walked up and down every row and then went to the other side (lot in front of the treeline). We walked down about half way and Bill said he didn't remember driving under the monorail line so we had to have been on the other side. So we headed back over. We each took a row and walked and walked until finally Bill saw our cars... in the lot in front of the treeline. Turns out when we went there and then turned around, we were about 3 cars away from ours. Now... here's where I note... they REALLY need to put a little bridge walkway type thing over the water boundary there because having to walk all the way around again or chose to walk in the road everyone is exiting from, stinks.

Anyway, we found our car... and off the resort we went... just, a little later than we had hoped.

Absolutely! Though this time we were on the top "tier" which was a little disappointing because we were hoping for the view but oh well.
