Ian & Vickys *PRE TRIP REPORT* - Oct 2012
Pre Trip Report
Hello all, and welcome to my very first (of hopefully many) Pre Trip Reports, followed by a Trip Report
So first up, Who will be going:
There are just the two of us going, our parents aren’t coming on this trip but hopefully will do on our next trip, ya never know ;)
Currently living in Glasgow, Scotland in her parents flat, we’ll be flying from Manchester, which is near my home town. Both of us are saving like crazy for this trip (I hope in future we can save enough to stay afew nights at the Poly).
Victoria (Disney Fiancée – 23 years old)
Attachment 5116
This will be her first ever visit stateside :musa: (We must get a badge). Her favourite Disney films are Sleep Beauty and Pocahontas, she wants to meet as many characters as possible so we might end up running round AK hoping to bump into anyone from Pocahontas. :bouncy:
Recently she has really got into all this planning stuff, choosing restaurants together and looking out for good snacks to try.
Me (26 years old)
Attachment 5117
This will be my first trip as an adult, but I do remember some of the attractions from when I was a child, my very favourite was Journey into Imagination (I hope its not changed TOO much in 20 years). I’ll be looking out for meeting Belle, Beast & Gaston throughout Epcot.
I was left with the daunting task of phoning up the US booking number yesterday to book all our meals. We couldn’t book the last one because it was 191 days out :(. However, all the rest have been booked :dizzy:

Oh, and the extra frosting is VERY important! Best bit of the rolls in the US - can't seem to find anything close here in the UK. :cookie:
Re: Ian & Vickys *PRE TRIP REPORT* - Oct 2012
Sounds like it's gonna' be a great trip! :D
Planning is half the fun! Keep us posted...
BTW...We share a birthday. I'll be turning 50 on Oct. 20th.
And, with the way things are turning for the better lately, we're hoping to possibly swing a trip down there for my half-century day. :dizzy:
If we can make it happen, maybe we can all meet up at some point?! That would be fun.

First off, Going to the Poly for Tonga Toast is a must do then?
I read in the DisneyFoodBlog to ask for extra frosting, it looks delicious but have no idea what their like (nothing to compare them too here as you say)

Thats sounds great! Make sure to pick up your badge at the hotel desk!!! I had the lady on the phone reminding me about that
Get a Disney trip booked for October, it'd be nice to meet up with people on here, we could share a meal :)
Re: Ian & Vickys *PRE TRIP REPORT* - Oct 2012
Sounds like so much fun, I love the food list! You will love being back after not going for so many years! Have an awesome time, and I say yes, the Tonga Toast is a must :)
Re: Ian & Vickys *PRE TRIP REPORT* - Oct 2012
Your Pre Trip Report is fantastic!! Really love the snack list, and how everything is so detailed!!
Re: Ian & Vickys *PRE TRIP REPORT* - Oct 2012
Woo thank you guys! :D
Soon we will work out the MUST TRY food from the booths at the F&W Festival, but I think we're holding out for the 2012 ones before we make a list of those. However the ones from 2011 look fantastic, and some don't LOOK tasty but apparently are (Fishermans Pie) :wow:
Re: Ian & Vickys *PRE TRIP REPORT* - Oct 2012
Awesome Pre Trip report :)
Just read somewhere?!?! That all value resorts will be getting mini fridges in the next couple months :))
Hope you have an awesome trip!!!
Re: Ian & Vickys *PRE TRIP REPORT* - Oct 2012
Ian, the trip plans look fantastic! Really good restaurant choices. I think youre going to love that time of year. The crowds are pretty small and Epcot during the Food & Wine Festival is unmatched! We love going to WDW in Sept / Oct because of the weather, low crowds and F&W. We could spend days at F&W. Love trying the foods, and a bit of beer and wine. Its just a great time.
If you have the chance, you should really check out some of the hidden treasures at the resorts. POR comes to mind, beautiful grounds, carriage rides, ferry boat to DTD and of coarse Yee Haw Bob's performances are pretty hilarious.
Re: Ian & Vickys *PRE TRIP REPORT* - Oct 2012
Having a mini fridge in our room would be brilliant to keep all our goodies stored :D
Thank you, JohnO we'll hopefully check out some of the resorts during this tirp, and hey we were going to stay at POR, but decided to save some more money and do POP!
